Tenor Blue Pays Tribute To the 80s With “Rub A Dub Stylee (Dub)”

US-based R&B/Reggae Artist Tenor Blue has been on the scene for a number of years delivering music that plays heavily into his influences. With a love for R&B, Reggae, Pop, Hip Hop, and Jazz, he experimented with their sounds to make music that’s not only unique to him, but to the listener. He has been holding his own for over 2 decades, and continues to find new listeners and spaces. Earlier this year, he made some noise with the single, “Rub-A-Dub Stylee“, and recently he took it to a different place with a Dub version.

Tenor Blue pays tribute to the growth of the Dancehall and Dub era in 80s Jamaican music with the release of “Rub-A-Dub Stylee (Dub)“. Produced by Dean Fishback, the song takes us back to the foundation Artists like Supercat, Yellowman, and Sugar Minott, Producers like King Tubby, Lee “Scratch” Perry, and Scientist, and fans of Dub will be grooving to this one. The original version of Tenor’s single continues to make its rounds music and video streams, and is ready to take the new version on the road this year.  Respect to the originators.

The former lead Singer of the 90s group A.R.P did very well for himself as a solo Artist, creating classics, and standing out with a vocal presence that has people wanting more. He took time away from the scene to focus on other things and taking the music on the road, but the requests for his return kept piling up. He released songs under the radar over time, but people needed him to return with a bang. He did just that today with the release of, “Sunshine Days“.

Produced by Global Merchant Music, Da’Ville makes his official return to music in 13 years with the release of, “Sunshine Days”. This new single is for those who are dealing with dark clouds and cold days, and when the right person or situation comes your way, everything is back in a vibrant colour, and moods are lifted. Da’Ville still has the vocal chops, and this is the start of him coming back with more consistent music. His words are further emphasized with a music video directed by Bling Blang, and we can see how everything is better when some positivity comes and brightens up the scene. Earlier this year, Montego Bay-based Recording Artist MoulaUE made his return to Rap with the single, “Chess Moves“. The track gained some favourable feedback since then, but the Rapper felt he needed more from this track. Fast forward some weeks, and recently he premiered special remixes.

MoulaUE makes “Chess Moves” more interesting with two special remixes. On the first remix, he teamed up with fellow Montego Bay native, Gavin Di Different. For the second remix, he called up Kingston native, Five Steez. The new versions of “Chess Moves” bring even more energy, and bring together different styles in the name of Jamaican Hip Hop. Both Steez and Gavin have maintained a presence in their respective lanes, make Moula’s return to the scene even more official. What’s next for MoulaUE? Stay tuned.

With a music video directed by WVLNTH, Teejay highlights the ways of Man here. We see all forms of negativity displayed by people who know better, but would rather give into evil and selfish desires and intentions. In the end, nothing is more powerful than a positive message, with good deeds following.
