@5StarSOL Has His “3rd Eye Open” On Upcoming Single

On November 9, rising Reggae Roots Lyricist 5 Star is set to premier his latest single titled “3rd Eye Open” off his upcoming project scheduled to be released in early 2017.

“3rd Eye Open” was produced by Phillip Myers from Circa 11 and is a follow up to his popular 2015 single “Warn Dem” which helped to boost his name within the Reggae scenes in Jamaica and overseas.

5 Star hopes his latest single will encourage persons to USE their 3rd Eye to see the true energy in others and as a tool to protect oneself in avoiding negative vibes and mediums. Most persons are unable and even unaware that the 3rd Eye even exists and that it can be used to channel a self-awareness that can be beneficial in a number of different ways.

“3rd Eye Open is a song about living in tune with your spiritual faculty from day to day using wisdom, ovastanding, cultivating morality to try and get through obstacles and situations that are in everyone’s lives especially living in the system that we are in. A lot of people drown and get thrown away to the wayside because of the nature of the system so we have to stand strong and keep a clean heart.” – 5 Star.

5 Star’s potential has been recognized throughout the world using music that not only brings awareness to real life situations but by also providing encouraging lyrics that simultaneously stand as reminders to stay on the righteous path.

The single is said to be followed with an official music video in the near future.

“3rd Eye Open” will be distributed by Independent Distribution Collective and available for purchase and streaming on all digital platforms November 11th.

@ItsLaden Teams Up With @ZJNova, Nxnty One Music For “I’m Dat Man” Debut!

Earlier this year popular DJ and member of the Zip 103 FM lineup, ZJ Nova, announced her plans to delve into Music Production. Revealing her Nxnty One Music Imprint, she gave her audience regular updates on her progress including opening a Recording Studio. The first to debut from her Imprint comes in the form of a single featuring Dancehall Artist Laden titled, “I’m Dat Man!“. With so much going on the world that can put people down, Laden stands firm and lets listeners know that his mission to be successful, respected, and be able to “Fix tings” will not die. A song that can motivate, the catchy chorus will be one to cause a buzz in the coming days and months. An impressive debut from ZJ Nova’s Nxnty One Music, and we look forward to more for the end of 2016 and beyond! Production Duo @DizTroyMusic Brings A Fresh New Sound To Jamaican Music!

The talented and forward thinking Producer duo Dale “Dizzle” Virgo and Troy Baker known as DizTroy, is the fresh sound in Reggae/Dancehall today.

The crafty mesh of styles and infectious grooves, lends way to an electric mash up of roots, which combine both Jamaican Sound System culture along with British and American musical influences such as: Dub, Brit Pop, Trap and EDM.

Bred in Jamaica, DizTroy is at the forefront,  cultivating something special and unique.  Songs that are firmly grounded at home but with loads of attitude, technically complex and musically edgy. In other words…creative and refreshing.
Pitchfork says of the duo “They’re a necessary jolt of Sunshine”.

The self-taught duo’s musical collection breeds life under the newly formed imprint Gee Jam, which is an off spring of acclaimed Gee Street Records, started in the early 80’s by the legendary Jon Baker.

The ambitious release schedule plays like an addictive flow that delves deep into the artistry of Mystic Davis, Versi and several other artists coming down the pipeline. A journey through soundscapes blending artful tapestry, broad strokes, experimental design with mainstream appeal.

DizTroy’s debut video “Mystic Strings” from Singer, Rapper and Dancer Mystic Davis was shot in and around Port Antonio by Kevin Lee and Savannah Baker, capturing her unique vitality and character.
