After catching listeners with the single, Raine Seville and Lisa Hyper finally unleashed the visuals for “Chat Mi (Remix)“. Directed by Muztang Media, Raine and Lisa get at detractors who have tried to throw dirt on their names and those who think their careers would be long gone. We’re also treated to lots of costume changing, dancing, and of course that Yardstyle Ent. production that sampled the ever popular “Murder She Wrote“. NEW MUSIC: @RaineSeville – Chat Mi

What a “Bam bam” today! Keeping out of the way of naysayers and idlers is Dancehall artist Raine Seville with “Chat Mi“. The single, produced by JJ Wizzle (SunCity 104.9FM), samples the popular “Bam Bam Riddim” made famous by Chaka Demus & Pliers and other artists. On the track we hear Raine getting at those who keep her name in their mouths and speak ill of her and lets them know that she’s too humble, too sexy, and too busy to let them damage her career. She also encourages ladies out there to follow her footsteps in never letting people get them down. OLDIES SUNDAY: Sister Nancy – Bam Bam (1982)

In recognition of the recent Reebok Skyscape commercial, I present to you the song that was used in it from Dancehall artist, Sister Nancy. Titled “Bam Bam” and produced by the late Winston Riley for Techniques Records on the “Stalag Riddim” in 1982, Nancy speaks about being an ambitious woman, her lyrical prowess that will “nice up” Jamaica, growing up in Princeton 6, and being a very unique person along her infectious chorus “What a Bam Bam…“. “Bam Bam” was a single on Sister Nancy’s debut album, “One,Two” which was released in 1982 by Techniques Records. Sister Nancy is regarded as the first female Dancehall artist and the first female deejay to tour internationally. “Bam Bam” is her most famous single and borrows a little from Toots And The Maytals’ 1966 hit “What A Bam Bam“.
