OLDIES SUNDAY: @GrungGaadZilla x @ABarringtonLevy – Living Dangerously (1995)


In recognition of Bounty Killa’s recent award presented to him by the Jamaica Star for “Dancehall Achievement” and Barrington Levy’s release of his first album in 20 years, “Licensed To Thrill“, I’ve decided to post their most popular collaboration. Titled “Living Dangerously” and produced by JahScrew in 1995, both artists talk about  a woman who has done them wrong by committing infidelity and she lives a dangerous life. They also advise her on what will happen when they leave, and she must better herself before it goes real bad for her. This was a great combination of Bounty Killa’s commanding voice and hard lyrics, and Barrington Levy’s signature crooning.

Familiar with the Saturn.de commercial where the Jamaican flag was being burnt? Well the artist whose song was featured in the video, Barrington Levy joins Winford Williams on the Onstage set. Here he shares his thoughts about the Saturn.de ad, him releasing an album, “Licensed To Thrill” after 20 years, his thoughts on current dancehall, being snubbed in some Dancehall music discussions, Reggae Music, and the premiere of the video for his single, “I Love The Way” with Mr. Vegas.
