In recognition of Bounty Killa’s recent award presented to him by the Jamaica Star for “Dancehall Achievement” and Barrington Levy’s release of his first album in 20 years, “Licensed To Thrill“, I’ve decided to post their most popular collaboration. Titled “Living Dangerously” and produced by JahScrew in 1995, both artists talk about a woman who has done them wrong by committing infidelity and she lives a dangerous life. They also advise her on what will happen when they leave, and she must better herself before it goes real bad for her. This was a great combination of Bounty Killa’s commanding voice and hard lyrics, and Barrington Levy’s signature crooning.
“Living Dangerously” became an instant hit in Jamaica and made its way on numerous charts, clubs, media outlets worldwide. The single was released on Barrington Levy’s 1995 “Duets” album and Bounty Killa’s “My Xperience” album which was released in 1996. “Living Dangerously” is still a big hit when played at events, and many herald it as a classic. Both artists are still active in the music industry churning out singles locally and internationally.
Thank You Barrington Levy and Bounty Killa for this great song.
