While many kids are starting the new School term as a first timer or entering a new grade, Layla-Rei enters a new grade as a Recording Artist. Having musically inclined Parents in Raine Seville and Bugle, you know it’s only right the offspring inherits some of the gifts. While she made appearances in recent times showcasing her talent, and teaming up with her Mom on “Big Up Jamaica“, she steps out with her debut, “I Know“. Released through Seville Records, Layla reaches out to all the kids around the world and encourages them to be the best they can be. If you can dream it and believe it, Layla says you can achieve it. A nice track to start off the new School term with, it’s all about the children as they are our future! The track is now available on iTunes and Apple Music, but you can check it out first below. Today’s new video is Reggae artist Jahmiel’s dedication to all the real fathers out there. Titled “Real Father” and directed by Kalila Anderson and Ricardo Williams, Jahmiel sings about the times his father has been there for him and showing respect to all the fathers out there who doing the same for their kids. This video also features cameo appearances from Producer Notnice, Keznamdi, Bugle, Rum Blood of Ward 21, DJ Razz, Richie Feelings, Gyptian, Vybrant, and Clive Hunt. This is a really great song as not many artists dedicate songs for the fathers. Great effort on the video as we see scenes of fathers being around their children and even photos of a younger Jahmiel. A great early Father’s Day tribute. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Tonight on Onstage, Lady Saw shared a few words with Winford Williams. Here she spoke about her “Infidelity” single with Bugle and their experiences (See video below), her performance at Sting 2013 and reasons for regretting it, working with rapper Flo-Rida, stepping away from the music scene for a short while which included going to church overseas, being a victim of internet hackers (Twitter and Facebook), new projects including music with Markus Myrie, and family life. It’s unfortunate that Lady Saw was hacked but I’ll be looking forward to her new material. John John is here to stay. Check out the videos below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
