Starting 2014 with new mixtape is DJ Scribz and Team Well Done. Titled “Urban Noise Nation“, this is his best of some of the big Hip Hop hits from 2013 along with music from local acts. This is a great effort from Scribz and highly recommended for your phones, computers and whatever else you use to play music with. Well done! Looks like we’ll be getting more Gaza songs for 2014! Today’s new music comes from Vybz Kartel and Gaza Slim. Titled “Wickedest Ride” and produced by So Unique Records and Simon Howden, we hear Kartel speaking on being with many women but is giving it up to the one girl that never left his side despite hurting her. Gaza Slim handles the chorus by letting him know that he gives her the best loving and she’ll be loyal because other women will come and go. Is this another hit by the duo? To be honest they always fit when doing collaborations but I do think the chorus could’ve been mixed better. Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Happy New Year readers! What better way to ring in the new year with a performance from our very own Tessanne Chin! Accompanied by Will Champlin and Jacquie Lee on a float representing “The Voice” at the 2014 Rose Parade, Tessanne performed her “Tumbling Down” single with her former contestants. Short but sweet and I like the fact that Jamaica’s being represented here again overseas. Big up to Tessanne, Jacquie,Will and The Voice! In the closing parts of Sting 30, Kiprich went on to perform. Being a clash champion at Sting, he called out a few acts to challenge him and was soon confronted by Black Ryno. Black Ryno, who had a not so favourable experience at the last Sting gave Kippo a run for his money and the approval of the audience. If you missed it, USD$30,000 was on the line, who do you think won? Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
