Today’s music comes from a “Three The Hard Way” combination of Deejay Masicka, Singer Shanique Marie, and Muscian Addis Pablo. Titled “Lighters” and produced by Equiknoxx Music, we hear Masicka deejaying about wanting a better life and celebrating it rather than suffering. Shanique handles the hook duties and Addis Pablo gives us a dope Melodica solo to help further channel the “Bird Sound Power” of Equiknoxx Music. A nice selection here which could seem odd to some. Look for its official release on August 5 on iTunes. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Titled “Build A Vibes (FireFlies)” and produced by DJ Sky Records on the “Sex Meter” Riddim, Tommy encourages the ladies to build a vibe with him, admiring their physical features, then making things happen together later in the night. This song has a chill vibe to it and the ladies will definitely love this one. Come light up his world like Fireflies ladies. With his first Sumfest performance in 10 years coming up, Sean Paul touched base with Winford Williams tonight on Onstage. Here he spoke about his “Full Frequency” album, experimenting with different genres of music and collaborating with international artists, trying to bring Dancehall music to more places in the world, trying his hand at music production, having difficulties breaking his new music in the United States, being big and touring in various countries, using social media to further reach his fans, thoughts on people trying to discredit his nationality despite waving the Jamaican flag worldwide, focusing on the music more than the accolades, focusing on more unity in Jamaica, Sumfest, and much more. Since his start, Sean Paul has been doing his best to bring Dancehall in many places with his many hits, while he has his detractors, I respect that he went outside the box with his music.
