On this morning’s “Ebro In The AM” show on Hot 97, Dancehall artist Tifa was a featured guest. Here she spoke on her music, being dubbed “Queen of the Dancehall“, her influences, being a part of the “On The Reggae Tip” event, wanting to be one of the top Dancehall artists making it big internationally, maintaining a level of professionalism in her career, and proving many wrong. Tifa also handled her own on the microphone where she performed “Back It Up” and other songs. I liked this interview and Tifa handled herself well and represented Jamaica well. Tifa’s been on a good run as of late with the new record deal, Headphones and her singles so she has a right to wear the crown. Dropping bars on the block is the duo of New York Rappers Cash Bilz and Troo. Titled “Bulls***“, this SOUL produced track was directed by Benny G and it shows Cash Bilz and the gang making stops on the block, hitting up the corner store and dropping lyrics where they’re urging the NY DJs to play their music, Hip Hop being a lifestyle, how dope they can be when they hit the booth, and getting at the new rappers who promote trash music. A good effort here and SOUL’s production along with the Big L sample complimented Cash and Troo’s lyrics and delivery. Shade Gang Crazy, put them on the radio Flex, Envy, Clue and even KaySlay. In preparation of their upcoming Mixtape, Deejay/Actor Benzly Hype (Me N Mi Kru/Innocent Kru) and DJ Scribz released a new song for “Uptown, Downtown and Roun’ Town“. Titled “Star“, we hear Benzly giving us a history lesson on his start with Innocent Kru, how effective he can be when he steps to the microphone, his displeasure for some of the new songs out and artists who bought their way to stardom, showing respect to some of his peers, and letting everyone know that he and Scribz are stars. A very entertaining song here, If you’re familiar with Benzly Hype and the Innocent Kru, you’ll know they create songs for every taste. Looking forward to the new mixtape and in the meanwhile check out Scribz’s
