Remember the Black Cowboy FilmThe Harder They Fall“? The Netflix Film was directed by Jeymes Samuel, starred Idris Elba, Regina King, and Jonathan Majors, and instantly became a hit. Samuel is back with a new Film called “The Book Of Clarence“, has brought along a soundtrack that is packed with a few stars including Buju Banton, Shabba Ranks, and Lil Wayne on the track, “Hallelujah Heaven“.

Produced by Jeymes Samuel (Hip Hop heads may know his early work as a part of Production team “The Bullits), “Hallelujah Heaven” is a display of Gospel-tinged sounds, thumping drums, solid lyricism, and great energy from two Jamaican legends, and a New Orleans Hip Hop legend. Buju and Shabba are no strangers to Hip Hop/Dancehall collaborations, and they ensured that their words connect with the people of Earth and the beings in Heaven, and keep the darkness out of the hearts of many. “Hallelujah Heaven” is just one of many tracks that make for a great soundtrack for a Film that is already high on the anticipation. “The Book Of Clarence” stars LaKeith Stanfield, who plays a man in Jerusalem who is down on his luck, and has to go through a series of events in order to have a better life. The Film also stars Teyana Taylor and Omar Sy, and will hit the Theatre screens on January 12, 2024.

NEW MUSIC: @LadySawDHQueen – Heaven

LSAfter promising her fans that she’ll show another side of her in upcoming music, Lady Saw finally released the first of many Gospel songs. Titled “Heaven” and recorded at Drop Di Bass Jamaica studio, Lady Saw goes by her government name this time around and handles the production duties under her Diva Records label. In the song expresses how she desires to be in Heaven with her Lord and Savior and the joy she’d receive once she’s there. She also desires to let go of all her material riches because she knows she’ll have all that and more in Heaven. Not a bad effort from Marion Hall here, in some parts of her singing she sounds a little like Carlene Davis. This is not the first time she’s doing Gospel and she has even hinted that there’s an album in the works. What do you think of her change? No more Lady Saw? Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
