Today, we say goodbye to the final Sunday of “Women’s History Month” for 2026. We continue to recognize the many Women who have made significant contributions to the culture, and those who help to make a positive difference in the world. For “Oldies Sunday” we close off in style, and we go back in time to check out Crissy D’s “Hot Gyal“.
Produced by Danny Browne for Main Street Productions on the “Rotten Rich Riddim“, Crissy D gives us a song for the Independent Women in, “Hot Gyal”. Many Women fought for equality around the world, and they’ve helped to pave the way for future generations to own valuable assets, have the freedom to vote, the freedom to make crucial decisions, to hold positions in high authority, and be able to express and live without opposition. The fight continues, but Crissy D’s single was one that highlighted how far Women have come. “Hot Gyal” was a hit on the very popular 90s Riddim, and became an anthem for many young Women.
Since the release of “Hot Gyal”, Crissy D went on to release more music. In the 2000s, she converted to Christianity, released Gospel Music, and focused on family. “Hot Gyal” is one of her more memorable singles, and still gets played today.
THANK YOU CRISSY D FOR THIS HIT!

First she stepped out in her “Tight up skirt“, now Samantha J’s representing for all the hot girls in her newest single. Titled “Hot Gyal Anthem” and produced by WashRoom Ent., we hear Samantha dropping lyrics about fashion, making a scene wherever she goes, driving the guys crazy, dusting off haters and announcing that a “Hot Gyal” is in the area. This sounds like a single that will climb the charts and have the ladies repeating the lyrics. Will it be a bigger single than “Tight Up Skirt“? Only time will tell. I’d love to interview her though. What do you think? Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
