Ahead Of Mixtape Release, @BakerSteez Shares “Life Liva” Short Film

Rapper BakerSteez has been living it up these past few years. When he’s not making music or putting together content, he’s making moves with his peers locally and Internationally. With a number of projects to his name, he has gained a respectable fanbase that shows up when the new releases go live. Following the announcement of his new Mixtape, “Life Liva“, he hosted a listening party earlier this month in Kingston, Jamaica. The project has yet to drop officially, but until then, check out the Short Film called, “Life Liva“.

The 13 minute “Life Liva” Short Film gives viewers a small look inside BakerSteez enjoying life in a few ways, a glimpse inside the process of the “Life Liva” Mixtape, and highlights from the recently held listening party. A few familiar faces show up in the video, and Steez shares that there will be a lot more content in the future. Nothing formal here, just respectable that an Artist can do more than just the typical release a song or music video or project, with nothing else for the fans. Stay tuned for the Mixtape.

Produced by Lucas Quinn, Chase Soundz provides some motivation on “P.U.S.H”. With a renewed focus and sharper lyrics, Chase provides the new single for those who need a boost today. He reflects on times of trouble, but moves forward with a confidence that can be contagious. Despite a few setbacks, expect more music to be released before the end of the year. For those unfamiliar, Chase Soundz is a US-based Rapper who hails from Montego Bay, St. James. Jamaican Hip Hop collective The Council a.k.a. The Council of the Gods returns with new music. Despite the pandemic putting a halt to many things, Five Steez, The Sickest Drama, and Nomad Carlos managed to fight through the blocks, and make something happen. Finally seeing an opening, they stepped out with their latest offering titled, “Trilogy“.

Featuring 8 tracks, The Council teamed up with the legendary Equiknoxx Music label. Production come from the minds of Time Cow, Son Raw, and Sawandi, and they present Dub, Jazz, and Electronica inspired beats to build a great vibe. The Council in true fashion stepped out with their usual lyrical abilities, and handled each beat like they’re supposed to. While every Dancehall and Reggae Artist got a chance to put out new music this year in the middle of the pandemic, Jamaican Hip Hop had to show up and make some noise. Produced by JGladMusic, Chase Soundz gets into some Dancehall vibes on “Bay Gyal” as he kicks off lyrics for the ladies. Listeners will get two different meanings from “Bay Gyal” title as (1) it refers to the beautiful ladies from Chase’s hometown of Montego “Bay”, St. James, and (2) the Patois meaning for having an abundance of women in your presence. Chase kicks off Summer 2021 in the right way, and had revealed that “Bay Gyal” is the first of a series of Dancehall tracks he will be releasing throughout the rest of 2021. Hip Hop and Dancehall are just two genres that will never leave each other out. No matter how many changes they go through, there will be creators that will blend them together to make great music. Since the advent of the UK, Chicago, and New York “Drill” movements, many artists have been utilizing the new sounds, and making hits of their own. One of the latest artists to do so is Jamaican Rapper Sad One with the track, “Underground“.

With a video directed by Sad One, FaceXpression, and Teshaun Williams, viewers will find Sad One playing the role of a Gangster Boss as a character played by Social Media personality Cuz reaches out to him and airs out his troubles. Sad One then makes the necessary moves to rectify Cuz’s situation, and viewers will see that Sad One is not the person to ramp with. Keep an eye out for Sad One, we believe you’ll be hearing a lot more from him in coming months.

Dropping some Hip Hop vibes courtesy of Chase Soundz today. The HTG Rapper worked on his consistency throughout 2020, and is looking to step it up even more thanks to a bunch of new music he has in the stash. Today we get to check out his latest track, “Feel This“.

Produced by Lethal Needle and featuring Five Steez, the two get into some Boom Bap vibes as they kick bars and flows over some easy going Jazz influenced production. The track marks the 2nd time a member of The Council and HTG collaborate on a track together. The first effort came from Daley and Five Steez’s “All I Know” back in 2020. If all you know is to chase sounds and money, but still ensure your steez is right, then you have to feel this track!
