The Council is here! While they have been staying busy, the Jamaican Hip Hop Group consisting of Five Steez, Nomad Carlos, The Sickest Drama, and Inztinkz continue their mission to wave the “First Coast” flag everywhere they go. With their debut project “Nothing Else Matters” making its rounds, they added a boost in the form of a music video for the track “Council Arts“! Directed by Scotty Dreamkiller and shot in Kingston by Warren Buckle, we step into a Council cypher they each fire off a few lyrical rounds and further seal that Jamaican Hip Hop should not be taken lightly. With plans to release more work individually, and as a group, all you have to do is “Pay Attention“! “Nothing Else Matters” is available now, check out the video below.
It’s…Addi Di Teacha along with TSD! Yes, you read that right, Rapper The Sickest Drama has a song with the “World Boss“, Vybz Kartel. Titled “Never Back Down“, the track was produced by Inztinkz and features the lyrical Artists going at it bar for bar. Expect the usual flipping lyrics from the Word smiths, and expect to be blown away as the First Coast Movement and the Portmore Empire join forces! Inztinkz and TSD are currently working on super group The Council’s debut album which is set to be released in 2017. Hip Hop meets Dancehall, check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
After debuting their first single a year ago, the Super group “The Council” finally release their 2nd single, “The Final Countdown“. Produced by Inztinkz who also raps on it, The Sickest Drama and Nomad Carlos each take turns putting pressure on the beat and their competition and further making their presence felt on the scene. As they welcome another year, it’s time to celebrate like a Times Square new year, a Jamaican new year, or a Chinese new year! Off their “Nothing Else Matters” project that has yet to see a release date, tune in for the bars. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Fresh off the release of his “HeatRockz” EP with Producer Mordecai Beats, Rapper Five Steez introduces his “Dirty Couch” to the world in his first visual off the project. Directed by Scotty DreamKiller with assistance from Dirx, Steez drops the bars you know in between crashing and pouring up some Dragon Stout on his couch. With the Yellow/Black colour being prevalent throughout the video, this gives the impression that Five Steez is paying homage to the Wu Tang Clan here. This video wouldn’t be the same if members of the First Coast didn’t show their face and had their share of Dragon Stout on the couch. HeatRockz is available now! The First Coast continues to make noise today as 1/4 of The Council, The Sickest Drama, aims to illuminate your 3rd eye with “Step Into The Light“. Produced by Damien Beatz, “TS, no BS, only sip V/X” is charged up as he’s on the path to show listeners that the mumble Rap needs to meet the trashcan. With an array of consciousness over the smooth Production, TSD shows that not only can he switch up the flow, but take the listeners far and wide with the lyrics! “Step Into The Light” is the first release off his upcoming project, and a possible teaser of what he’s to bring off the debut project from The Council. For some reason I’ve heard the opening bars of the hook a couple years ago (Was it from a freestyle TSD?). Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
What we have here, is a lyrical exercise between 1/4th of The Council and a one man army. The Sickest Drama along with Triple Threat bring to you the lyrical Theatre for your ears called “Infinity Gauntlet“. Produced by Massy The Creator, the First Coast Rappers bring forth a “Clash of the Titans” scene over a dark Production filled with haunting choir vocals. With more bars than your favourite Correctional Institution, TSD gives you an idea on what he’ll provide on the upcoming project from “The Council“, while Triple wants you to know he’s nice on the beats and you should pay attention. No 3D Glasses and movie tickets required. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
