Jamaican Creative/Recording Artist Joby Jay has come a long way since her debut single, “Big Girl Ting“. With a few awards, performances, and singles to her name, she looks to become a household name, and a global brand. To take things to a new level, she recently released her debut EP, “Love Levels“.

Containing 7 tracks, the “Love Levels” EP finds Joby Jay tapping into love in different forms, relationships, and showcasing her vocal abilities and ear for unique sounds. To kick off the rollout for the EP, Joby released the single “Bare“, which was met with positive feedback. A few years ago we did a weekly segment in honour of “Women’s History Month“, and one of those Women we honoured was the late Singer, Barbara Jones. She blessed the scene with her lovely voice, gave us beautiful music to remember, and left a solid legacy. Carrying on her legacy and carving his own lane, is her son Hector “Roots” Lewis Jr. He is a Musician, a frequent collaborator with many of your favourite Artists including Chronixx, and is now fully stepping out as the first Artist signed to Chronixx’s Soul Circle Music label. He puts his best foot forward with his much anticipated single, “Ups And Downs“.

Teaming up with acclaimed Producer J.L.L., Hector “Roots” Lewis gives listeners healing, upliftment, and all around good vibes with “Ups And Downs”. He encourages listeners to never give up when there is failure in their life as “you can never rise if you never yet fall down“, holds his ground as he knows he’s built for the challenges that life has in store for him, and reminds us to always have Jah in everything you do. “Roots” Lewis steps out strong with “Ups And Downs”, and we’re confident that his new journey will be very fruitful.

Jamaicans have a thing for storytelling. If it didn’t start with something similar to “Me have a piece a mixup fi gi yuh deh…” or “Come mek me gi yuh joke…“, you won’t be thoroughly entertained. Today’s storytelling comes in the form of song, and the person delivering it is a “Tech Boss” who is also a Recording Artist by the name of Mannin Marsh a.k.a. Ma’neen! Making his official debut, he drops the track, “Nanny Bag Part 2“. Produced by J.L.L. (who has been on a roll this year), Ma’neen tells the story about a young Jamaican “Rude Boy” who tries to avoid arrest by leveraging his relationship with the Police Officer’s girlfriend. The story features meetings on the “Endz“, lots of weed smoke, Panama, awesome production, and a whole lot more! Artwork for the single was beautifully done by Richard Nattoo a.k.a. DJ Sinista.

“Nanny Bag Part 2” is the first release from the upcoming EP titled “Sexy Reggae“, which features Ma’neen showcasing even more abilities over more J.L.L. productions. We expect this EP to drop in early 2020. Grab a chair and kick off yuh shoes because Ma’neen a go pop story gi yuh!
