There comes a time in everyone’s life where they think about the things they do, and decide to move on from them to focus on bigger and better. The legendary Edley Shine (formerly of the infamous Born Jamericans) speaks on this and more in his latest single, “Big Mon Ting“.
Produced by Riddim Boss, “Da Big Voice” Edley Shine looks back at various things he has done over the years, and shares how much he has grown from them as he’s more about things and people who are very important to him. When he used to be with all the ladies, he now cares about the partner he is spending the rest of his life with. When he cared about being on the scene years ago, he’s now more about being in every aspect of his child’s life. Talk about maturity. The single is featured on his 2020 EP “Based On Talent“, and accompanying the track is a music video directed by Studio Gota from Brazil. Shout out to those who are all about growth, it’s all about what’s most important to you.

Recording Artist Kvlar is becoming one of those Singers that will hit you with some amazing vocals out of nowhere. Having delivered with tracks like “Formula” and “It’s Yours“, you either get that R&B, or some message music from him. Today, he brings forth a message with his new single, “Purpose“. Produced by the combination of Kvlar, J.L.L., and RiddimBoss, Kvlar protects his soul from evil forces, and will not sell it for anything. While there are many who are unaware of their roles in life, we hope “Purpose” gives them that much needed spark to finding their purpose. Do your best out there folks.

You call them when you want to want a fire beat to go with your lyrics, they help you turn that song into the greatest thing someone has ever heard, they spend hours creating a masterpiece that sounds so good you’re not allowed to add your vocals to it. They are called Beatmakers, Riddim Gods, and more commonly, Producers! Artists can’t live without these people, and at times they don’t get a lot of respect. We at 13th Street Promotions recognize these creatives, and today you’ll get to know 15. Watch this space!

It is not unusual for an Artist’s offspring to follow in their footsteps, but today I introduce you to Lord Leno, son of Legendary Dancehall Artist, Burro Banton. With his single “Don L“, Leno commands the RiddimBoss production to show why he’s a mix of Al Capone and Pablo Escobar on tracks, and you should pay attention to him. The “Young Banton” has been on the scene for a while but after listening to “Don L“, you will want to hear more of his work. Artwork by Khari Kamau.
