Titled “Keep It Rocking” and features a production from JLA, this features a great Michael Jackson sample (Rock With You) while Scotty raps about chasing his dreams, never slowing down on his work, pushing on despite challenges and keeping it rocking. A great effort here and being a Michael Jackson fan I love this production. For clarification, Scotty + The DreamKillers is really a One Man Band where “Scotty” is the rapper and “JLA” is the producer. With a mix of Hip Hop, Rock, Dub, and Reggae, look out for more work from the Band, I know I will. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

With Reggae music being a huge influence the world over, it’s no surprise when artists outside of Jamaica taking a crack at it. Two artists that have done so are singer/actor Eddie Murphy and rapper Snoop Dogg/Lion. Titled “Red Light” and directed by John Mazyck, we see Eddie, Snoop and the 1500 or Nothing band jamming to the song along with seeing a young girl walking in her neighbourhood to purchase ice cream while witnessing a few things gone bad which include police arresting a boy and a woman selling her body. Singing is nothing new to the actor as he has released a couple albums and collaborated with the late Rick James and Michael Jackson. Eddie’s album “9” will be released soon. What do you think? Happy Birthday MJ!

Couldn’t let the day pass and I don’t show some love to one of my favourite artistes, the King of Pop Michael Jackson. He has been one of the very few artistes that will always be a part of my playlists and life. He left this world just on the verge of making a big comeback but he will never be forgotten and his music will live on. In respect, I present the first time he showed the world his infamous “Moonwalk” dance at Motown’s 25th Anniversary show, and one of his best music videos….Smooth Criminal.
