Yesterday, Entertainment giant Marvel unveiled the latest phase of their “Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)“. With plenty films and tv shows on the way, fans were looking forward to consume even more stories from their favourite Comics. The rollout included the announcement of the sequel to the popular “Black Panther” film called, “Wakanda Forever“. Announced in the form of a teaser, a familiar song was featured in its soundtrack.

For those familiar with Reggae (who wouldn’t at this point?), the lyrics from Bob Marley’s classic, “No Woman No Cry” was heard in the teaser for “Wakanda Forever”. Instead of Bob’s version, a cover by Nigerian star Tems was put in place. Throughout the over 2 minute teaser, Tems’ cover was played before being mixed into Rapper Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” single. “No Woman No Cry” was written by Bob Marley and Vincent Ford, produced by Chris Blackwell and The Wailers, and was featured on Marley’s 1974 album, “Natty Dread” with The Wailers. A live version of the single was released in 1975, and is considered one of the greatest songs ever made. The track was covered by many including The Fugees, Wizkid, Jimmy Cliff, and Sean Kingston.

“Black Panther” was released in 2018, and starred Chadwick Boseman, and Lupita Nyong’o among others. Boseman was set to reprise his role as the African superhero in the sequel, but passed away in 2020 after a long battle with Colon Cancer. “Black Pather: Wakanda Forever” will be released on October 11, 2022.

Bringing some chill vibes in music video form, “Zaza” teams D-Feezy up with Nigerian Artist Afrorolls and Bobby Kabre, and you can’t help but roll up something nice to the track. The video finds the Artists partying with a few ladies, sharing the benefits of the Zaza throughout. “Zaza” is featured on D-Feezy’s upcoming “FEEZY” EP, which is expected to be available later this year. The Steve Rawd produced single has been gaining extensive traction thanks to a “Big Boy Challenge” hosted by Heph on Instagram, and has been earning a few prominent spots on Billboard, iTunes, and on various Playlists around the world. Capitalizing off of the buzz and setting up for a “Heph B Summer“, Heph B unleashes the music video for “Big Boy“.

Directed by Foreign Boy Films, Heph B is spending money, rolling in luxury, and is surrounded by friends and family in his latest music video. With the success Heph has been enjoying, it’s only right that he moves like a King for “Big Boy”, and bring along the people who are closest to him. Whether he’s popping bottles, scoring wins at the Casino, or even putting on some dance moves for the world to follow, Heph B is celebrating life, and enjoying it in the best way he can.

AfroDancehall King Heph B is still bringing his “AMARII” album to new territories, and gaining new listeners daily. Since the album’s release in November 2021, Heph B has been enjoying chart success in various countries, and he looks to do more for the album. Keeping his content game strong, he released the music video for one of the album’s popular tracks, “Party All Night“.

Directed by Klef Sound Films, Heph B invites you to party all night with him. From popping bottles, to turning up in the club, Heph ensures you have a good time with him. The minute you start watching this trailer for the upcoming Netflix Film, “The Harder They Fall“, you’ll hear that easily recognizable “Here I come” line from the legendary Barrington Levy. Once again, Jamaican music has popped up in something that we know many are going to love. Black Cowboys are the order of the day in this Jeymes Samuel directed Film starring Regina King, Delroy Lindo, Idris Elba, Jonathon Majors, and many more!

As previously mentioned, music from Barrington Levy was featured in the form of a remixed version of his 1985 classic, “Broader Than Broadway” a.k.a. “Here I Come“. Produced by Paul “Jah Screw” Love, the single was released through the Thunderbolt Label, and is one of Levy’s biggest hits to date. Also featured in the trailer for “The Harder They Fall” (which borrows a lyric from another Jamaican Icon, Jimmy Cliff from his 1972 classic, “The Harder They Come“), is Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti’s 1971 track, “Let’s Start” featuring Ginger Baker. Produced by Jonah Christian and Felix Joseph, the Artists get into some relationship talk over a very familiar sample. Taking its place as an instantly recognizable sound is Jamaican Producer Jeremy Harding’s 1997 “Playground Riddim“! Released through the 2 Hard label, the Riddim featured Sean Paul’s “Infiltrate“, Cobra’s “Pet and Pamper“, Mr. Vegas’ “Nike Air“, and Beenie Man’s “Who Am I” a.k.a. “Sim Simma“!
