It’s saturday afternoon and you might be enjoying the weather and chilling, why not add some new Vybz Kartel to it? Titled “Hi” and produced by Rvssian, we hear Kartel making use of the word “high” and “hi” from describing the feeling he gets from marijuana to food prices. Interesting effort from Kartel as some of the lines are funny with his use of wordplay. He may be locked up but his music is free. Be sure to download it on iTunes on September 10. NEW VIDEO: @NoiseyMusic Jamaica Dancehall Show: Episode 10: @GazaSlimWG

On today’s episode of Noisey Jamaica Dancehall Show Gaza Slim is the featured artist. We see Codine Williams, Slim and crew situated at a courthouse in Kingston where Vybz Kartel attended a court date. Here Gaza Slim told Codine about her start in the music business, meeting Vybz Kartel, his incarceration, members of the Portmore Empire, her “Addi” tattoo, and other things. They also visited the West Bank community in Portmore and spoke to a few of Kartel’s fans and learned of the impact Kartel has on the community. Titled “Show Me“, the artists deejay about how the ladies gyrate their bodies and entice them. the song’s not bad but I can’t help but think I’ve heard Kartel’s verse or lines before. To kick things off today is a new music video from Vybz Kartel. Titled “Convertible“, we see Vybz Kartel’s stunt double entering a certain location only to see girls come out of nowhere to dance on him. Nothing much to say here apart it’s mainly girls dancing at various part including a Vybz Kartel mural. No features from members of the Portmore Empire, just a few sexy girls, a Benz and Vybz Kartel’s stunt double in a prison uniform. The song is hot however. NEW MUSIC: @RealJahVinci – Shouldn’t Break Your Heart

Something new, something different. Former Portmore Empire artist JahVinci may be looking to hit the dance charts with this song. Titled “Shouldn’t Break Your Heart” and produced by Frenz For Real Productions, Vinci puts on the autotune, drops the dance track and belts out a song about regretting breaking his lady’s heart. Codine Williams hosts yet again another episode in the Noisey Music series “Noisey Jamaica Dancehall Show“. In this episode Vybz Kartel’s “son” Popcaan was featured. Here they followed Popcaan to see him rehearse before Reggae Sumfest, then to see him and many partrons celebrate his birthday party. I like that his music is being promoted during the video and people are vocal that they love his music. A word of advice: DO NOT make a video of Shabba Ranks without his permission.
