PRESS RELEASE: @ProdiVOP876 Releases Rat Poison

Prodigal

Prodi, formally known as Prodigal Son, gospel artist now turned Reggae sensation has released yet another Reggae single. The single entitled ‘Rat Poison’ produced by Yard Movement was released a couple weeks ago and has been creating a lot of buzz. The ‘Circle Small’ artiste has been hard at work since he rebranded himself and has prided himself on making music with positive messages. The song speaks about dishonest people who take from those who work hard for a living. Prodi further explained the significance of the title of the song stating that “Rat Poison is really a metaphor for going out for your money, which is the cheese. If a man tries to take that cheese, you have to set the poison. It’s really about defending your food”.

The single has been receiving a lot of air play on several radio stations across the region and is set to be released on iTunes in just a couple of days. Prodi shared, “Rat Poison is doing well, it is creating a bit of a buzz in Jamaica and Costa Rica but an even bigger buzz in Panama and Prodi is presently planning his European Tour for 2015.

Dropping a new song today is Prodi and he’s on a serious mission. Titled “Rat Poison” and produced by Yawd Movements, Prodi provides the voice on the harsh realities that he and others have experienced. He also delivers some motivation for listeners to hustle hard to live a better life, and when he steps out he does so with his team. NEW MUSIC: @ProdiVOP876 – Reggae Music And I

e83adab5e0cb34c699fcf4abcfefaa1a

Professing his love for Reggae music today is the one and only Prodi! Titled “Reggae Music And I” and produced by Yawd Movement, we hear Prodi singing about reuniting with Reggae and describes how it has affected his life. He also personifies Reggae and speaks on it being a worldwide influence. Great single here as it gives the feel of it being a new Reggae anthem. This would be great for commercials and even the Jamaican Tourism sector (I called it first!). Prodi’s “Voice Of The People” EP is now available on iTunes! Taking a trip down memory lane and back to the present with a special person is the aim in Prodi’s (Prodigal Son) new single. Titled “Love Me Like This” which was produced by Yawd Movement and armed with a Minnie Riperton sample, Prodi will have lovers reminiscing on the first day they’ve met, the first time they got close and thinking about how far they’ve come in their relationships. A good effort here by Prodi as he continues to cover more ground in his career. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @ProdiVOP876

PSAfter causing quite a stir lately where he removed the “Gospel Artist” title from his brand, Prodigal Son or “Prodi” took to Onstage to expound on his decisions and more. Here he spoke on the reaction from the public to his change, remembering when he wasn’t well received in the beginning of his career and not paying attention to backlash, getting more airplay and support from DJs and members of the Church, making more positive changes to his music, and future plans. Not a bad Interview here, he also performed new music. I respect Prodi’s move and I see nothing wrong here as he’s not adding lewd lyrics to the music.
