The new era of Hip Hop has touched the Island of Jamaica, and has since produced a wave of new acts. While there are those who are heavily influenced by the 90’s and Underground movements, the new wave are influenced by the “Trap Music” culture. One of those acts who has started to make some noise in recent times is Gotti OG. A member of Jamaican Creative Deth’s (a.k.a. ShotByDeth) “FOREVER” Label (More on that later), he kicks off the month of October with “WockStar“! Produced by Cloud Beats, Gotti speaks on the life of a RockStar complete with beautiful ladies at his reach, acquiring designer gear, and making his presence felt everywhere with his crew. With the chorus fitting with the Production, listeners will be chanting while rocking to the beat. For those who need that pick me up, give this one a slot on your playlist. “Nothing Else Matters”, The Council Finally Release Their Debut Album!

After many delays and a few singles, Jamaican Rap Super Group The Council finally released their debut Album, “Nothing Else Matters“. Featuring 16 tracks, the Rappers Five Steez, The Sickest Drama, Nomad Carlos, and Inztinkz promises that Jamaican Hip Hop and the “First Coast Movement” will be on another level with this project. From songs featuring Social Commentary, reminiscing on the “Golden Era”, everyday struggle, to just flexing their lyrical abilities, NEM has something for those who need an escape from the “Mumble Rap” and want to hear “Real Rap“. The Album also features verses from Kabaka Pyramid, Koro Fyah, Massy The Creator, Tha God Fahim, Illicit King, Triple Tr8, J Militia, and Beast while Inztinkz guides them all with some amazing Production. With years in the making, NEM will not disappoint, and should be a nice addition to your collection. Presentation is also a premium experience with Black and Gold giving it a royal look to fit the tone of the Album. Art Direction by Jome Anderson (Scotty Dreamz) and Warren Buckle. Rapper @MoulaUE Makes His Return With The “All U Go Get Until…” EP!

Montego Bay based Rapper MoulaUE has been staying busy these past few months. Since the release of his 2016 effort, “Know My Intentions“, he has made appearances on various projects with a verse or few. Today, the “Mobay Kingpin” makes his return with a new project titled “All U Go Get Until…” to shake up a few playlists. With 5 tracks in, and featuring Production from Thomas Craiger, JuloOnTheTrack, 1694, Dre Minor and Ty Rose, Moula’s ready to make you a believer that Hip Hop is very much alive in the 2nd City. With contributions from his KMT brethren Karma Crew and Daley, Rapper Yung Asura and Recording Artist Minx, this is something to roll up one with and hold a vibe. It’s that time again for some new music fresh outta Montego Bay! Next up is the “Mobay Kingpin“, MoulaUE a.k.a. Moula Di Don! With a new project on the way, he starts off the week with “Big League“! Produced by Thomas Craiger, Moula talks that talk with a presence like a Mob Boss over a dark Production. Featuring Karma Crew and Daley who kick off lyrics like Snipers on a big payroll, this should hold you over as Moula makes his return. For those familiar with the trio, they’re also known as “KMT” so consider this a little reunion. It’s “Crunch Time” for the Hip Hop “Supergroup“, The Council (Five Steez, Nomad Carlos, The Sickest Drama, Inztinkz) as their debut Album’s release comes sooner than you think. Teaming up with Kabaka Pyramid, Koro Fyah, and Massy The Creator, they unleashed their 5th single titled, “Misery“. With Inztinkz handling the boards, the Artists offer some social commentary as they detail the conditions faced in Jamaica and how frustrating it can be to the point leaving the Island could be an option. In a society where the blind is leading the blind, and the system barring out those who can make a difference, it really is dread out here. Florida based Rapper Alvii is getting his name out there in every way. We featured him recently on “Catch Up“, and now he delivers his first Mixtape! Titled “Adventures Of Trueself“, this 7 track project sees him covering topics about his day to day life, as well as showing that he can handle any of the self-produced beats that he takes on. Featuring Jamaican Rapper Slim I.D. as the only guest, the project shows us that Alvii can hold his own. He also pays homage to Ocala, Florida where he currently resides.
