Since March 2025, we premiered a new weekly Playlist called, “What’s On 13th Street?“. Since then, we have featured over 800 new songs from Artists in and outside the Caribbean. Evie Pukupoo steps out with something special for the ladies. He has been hitting the road all year with new music, content, and Filmmaking interests, so he took the time out to make something for the ladies to rock and bubble to. Check out, “Hill & Gully (wid eh Puku)“.

Produced by Bob Riddim and released through Kaboom Music, Pukupoo modernizes the Mento sound in, “Hill & Gully”. With the wave of nostalgia hitting the Jamaican music scene, Puku’s contribution is aimed at the ladies who know how to take care of themselves, and know how to stand out. The upbeat production pairs well with the lyrics, and if you’re not dancing to this, you need to break free from whatever’s stressing you. “Hill & Gully” looks to join Di Genius’ “Hill & Gully Riddim” in bringing more people together, and paying homage to our Jamaican culture. Nigy Boy & @WhoIsKaylan Bring Smooth Sounds In “We Belong Together”

It’s a new week, and you can start it with love. What better way to usher in the love than to release new music? Nigy Boy is here to make even more happen this year, and is working on taking over the summer. He’s in a loving mood, and he released the new single, “We Belong Together“.

Produced by Silly Walks Disco on the “Double Trouble Riddim” and featuring US-based Recording Artist Kaylan Arnold, Nigy Boy is all about that love that is as important as air and water in, “We Belong Together”. The Singers are great with words, but when it comes to that special person, they get tongue-tied, and are overwhelmed with the love that is present. The easy-going track finds the duo at some of their best, and for the couples building and maintaining their love, this track is the right choice. They come together for a fun visual directed by Mirko Polo, and we look forward to them performing this live in the future. Silly Walks knocked it out the park with this one.

The Summer may not be the only thing that’s blazing. When the legendary Capleton is in the conversation, everything is set ablaze! Having maintained a solid career for well over 30 years, the “Fire Man” continues to bring the world together with his extensive catalogue. This year becomes a milestone one for him as he released his latest album, “Heights Of Fire“.

Featuring 16 tracks, Capleton’s new “Heights Of Fire” album is his first project in 16 years. The “Fire Man” continues his fiery reign, delivering music for the mind, music for the heart, and music for the world. The new album shows that he’s still the topic of discussion, even when the youngsters try to take over. Production on “Heights Of Fire” includes the likes of Little Lion Sound, Derrick Sound, Mixing Finga, and L’Entourloop, and they all give the legend new sounds to flex on, and show that age is just a number when it comes to talent. The album isn’t without its guest features, and he shares his stage with Damian and Stephen Marley, Eesah, and Mista Savona. Capleton said it before that he “caan cool“, and he now elevates his career to new heights. Celebrate the continued reign of fire.

OLDIES SUNDAY: Sasha & Turbulence – We Got The Love (2005)

June is coming to a close, but we had one more song for those who have a Wedding Playlist in mind. Love is all “Oldies Sunday” brings, and we can say with confidence that Jamaican Artists make some great love songs. Today, we go back in time to check out Sasha and Turbulence’s “We Got The Love“.

Produced by Mikey Bennett on the “My Friends Riddim” and released in 2005 through VP Records, Sasha and Turbulence not only promoted that authentic love, but celebrated their own love story in, “We Got The Love” (also known as “We Have Got Love“). Both Artists were an item at the time, and have released a number of singles together. “We Got The Love” helped to propel their respective brands, and it became a hit. The single would go on to be included in Sasha’s debut album “Sexy Body Sasha“, but the album was later shelved.

Since the release of “We Got The Love”, Sasha and Turbulence would go on to build their respective careers. Their relationship would fall apart soon after the single’s release, but they remained friends up to this day, even appearing together in music videos. While Turbulence would have a steady growth in Reggae, Sasha would go on to become a Gospel Artist using the name “Sista Sasha“. “We Got The Love” remains a favourite for many, and may be a part of some Wedding Playlists soon.

Singer McKada has the personality, the charm, the beauty, and the talent. She can be the one you “Buil’ A Vibe” with, a “Blessing” through and through, and one you can have those “Conversations” with. What many don’t know, is that she can have a trick or few up her sleeve when it comes to matters of love. She shows her hand in, “6 Love Domino“.

Produced by Natural High Music, McKada has her game face on with a win in mind in, “6 Love Domino”. The Singer gets flirtatious throughout, sharing her observations of her love interest, and expresses what it’s like when two hearts are mutual in love, and are all about each other’s needs. When he wins, she wins, and she wins you over with her latest release. McKada keeps it very interesting as the lady in red in the Maless Films-directed music video. From taking over the stage with her backing band and Dancer, to locking in with her love interest in a game of Dominoes, she gives us plenty to see and hear. She is so in the game, she shows it in her freshly-painted nails. McKada continues to further her journey in music, and the rest of the year promises to see her doing more. She has been hitting it big with her live performances recently, and she’s still very available for those International shows. Promoters, get busy.
