In memory of Producer Patrick “Roach” Samuels’ passing, the Gully God Mavado released a tribute song. Titled “Soldiers” and produced by JA Productions, we hear Mavado paying homage to not only Roach, but to all fallen soldiers over a beautiful production. Patrick Samuels was gunned down on September 15 in Kingston. Patrick Samuels was known for his many productions including Mavado’s “Caribbean Girls” and Vybz Kartel’s “Emergency” and was also Kartel’s Road Manager. He will surely be missed by friends, family and the Dancehall fraternity. Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Feeling bored? Let Tommy Lee Sparta bring some “Vibes Inna Dis” with his new video. Directed by DK Konsepp we see clips of Tommy’s latest tours, a bountiful of ladies shaking their derriere, and the Sparta Boss himself bringing vibes everywhere he goes. Good to see Tommy Lee not limiting himself to just the Caribbean and he seems to be getting a lot of love in Europe as well. Very clean video and a lot of people came for the vibes. Today’s new music comes from Jamaican rapper Gully Ca$h. Titled “URDA1“, produced by SOS Dynamikz and features verses from Kalano and Stratdon, we hear the artists showing admiration for their ladies over a real chill beat from SOS Dynamikz. Nice hook by Stratdon as well and with more songs from them and others, Jamaican Hip Hop will continue to rise. Is this a hit? Check it out below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

BFCShaggy

Today’s video comes in the form of an Interview with Shaggy from the Breakfast Club on NY’s Power 105.1. Here he spoke about some aspects of Jamaica and misconceptions, his start in the music industry, his new album “Out Of Many One Music“, his style of music and many other topics. Interesting Interview from Shaggy although sometimes I was weirded out by the “twang” and the generic questions. That was a crazy story with him and the late James Brown. You can learn a little of his background in this interview. Check it out below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
