Jo Lin Gives Her “Closure” Debut A Visual

Love may be in the air for some today, but others are focusing on breaking the cycle. Recently, upcoming Recording Artist Jo Lin made her debut with the single, “Closure“. Since its release, it has been getting a lot of love, and the Singer is working on taking it to more places digitally, and physically. For Valentine’s Day, she premieres the official music video.

Directed by Hue Wisdom and guest starring Gemmar McFarlane, Jo Lin shares a familiar story of those who escape from toxic relationships, only to end up going back in “Closure”. Her song serves as empowerment for those who seek peace and freedom, and the video finds her reflecting on the past relationship, with a determination to never walk through that door again. Many are going through what she’s sharing, but better is out there, and their hearts need to heal. “Closure” will connect with lovers on February 15 at Di Lot for “I Love Souls“, as Jo Lin will share the stage with her Father, Ghost. May those trapped hearts find their escape soon.

This Friday will be Valentine’s Day, and we know there will be many who will be in the loving mood, taking the time out to give their lover gifts, and take them out on dates. For the rest of the world, it’s just another Friday. We wanted to get ahead of the crowd with an “Oldies Sunday” selection that is nothing short of a classic. We go back to the 80s to tune in to “The Cool Ruler” Gregory Isaacs’ “If I Don’t Have You“.

The self-produced “If I Don’t Have You” was released in 1981 through the Pre and Charisma labels, Gregory Isaacs delivered a song so relatable with “If I Don’t Have You”. When it comes to someone you have a deep admiration and love for, you’ll want to do everything to ensure it’s perfect. For Gregory, he believes she is that one Woman that checks all the lists, is his ideal match, and his forever love. If he messes it up, he has no desire to seek another. “If I Don’t Have You” was an instant hit for Gregory locally and Internationally, and listeners fell in love with his signature smooth delivery, and the lyrics definitely connected. The track was included in his 1981 album, “More Gregory“. The track was also referenced in Brooklyn Rapper Yasiin Bey (fka Mos Def) in his 1999 single, “Ms. Fat Booty“. “If I Don’t Have You” is considered one of Gregory Isaacs’ most popular songs, and it ranks high among his extensive catalogue.

Since the release of “If I Don’t Have You”, Gregory Isaacs secured his place as one of the legends of Jamaican music, releasing many albums and singles over the years. His life was cut short in 2010, but his music continues to live on. Many of his love songs are played during the Valentine’s season, including “If I Don’t Have You”. Recently, he announced that he will be taking on the world this Summer with his “Son Of An Immigrant” World Tour. He has come a long way since the Comedy skits and his debut as an Actor in “Sprinter“, but now he is building his brand in a major way. He also announced that he’s dropping new music, and with February being the month for Valentines, he debuts the single, “Lover Boy“.

Produced by Di Genius, Dale Elliott Jr. is here for the ladies, and all of the ladies in “Lover Boy”. The song taps into the style of the 90s Reggae/R&B collaborations, and Dale rolls out the list of features he has as a lover boy, and is ready to meet a Woman’s list of requirements, and desires. The self-directed Music Video blends with his Comedy style, but throughout he’s letting the ladies know he’s here for them all.
