“The Release” is an Entertainment Program featured on Hype TV every Tuesday at 8:30 PM, with repeats on Thursday and Saturday at 6:30 PM. Popular dancehall artiste, Destiny is officially a brand ambassador for the spanking new, Feel Me Hair Collection. Her vibrant persona attracted Unique Glitz’s brand manager, Rory Black who eventually signed and sealed the contract. “I was very excited when I was called upon to be apart of the campaign. I felt truly honored. Image, is one of the most important aspects of being an artiste. It’s such a great opportunity to be selected to represent a brand that holds high esteem,” Destiny pointed out.
Destiny revealed that Black was very enthused when he contacted her with the proposal. He pointed out that identifying Destiny to represent the face of the brand came highly recommended. Her excellent work ethic was also fundamental in their decision-making. According to Destiny, “he was blown away by my photos. I had some very colorful and unique hairstyles displayed on my social media pages. One in particular racked up over 20,000 likes and a ton load of shares on Facebook.”

The singer is also celebrating her first video accomplishing the one million mark on YouTube. Mek Wi Touch produced by UIM Records is currently at approximately 1,019,205 hits. “It’s a great feeling to know so many persons have watched the video. I am very grateful. Thank you all so much. From my days on Magnum Kings and Queens I have continued to receive overwhelming support,” Destiny admits.
An avid songwriter, Destiny has recently contributed to Kwashawna Records’, “Liberty Riddim”. The song, Hot Gyal Wine samples the 1995 Spragga Benz and Dave Kelly hit, Yuh Body Good. “My brother and producer, Que Da Wiz sent me the track and asked what I thought. I fell in love with it again; it remains one of my favorite retro Dancehall songs to date,” Destiny acknowledged.
Stopping by the Good Morning America set earlier were Major Lazer , DJ Snake and MO. Here they performed their smash hit, “Lean On” to give viewers a jump start to their morning. Great peformance and if you’ve been following Major Lazer, you’d know how big of a song “Lean On” is. “Peace Is The Mission” is now available on iTunes! One of the headliners at the annual Dream Weekend event, Christopher Martin is “A Big Deal” and recently he spoke on a few things. Here he spoke about touring and receiving great feedback for his stage performances, his single “I’m A Big Deal” and the creation of the song, his EP and upcoming album, celebrating 10 years since his Digicel Rising Stars win, upcoming tours, and more. Recently, Rapper J Cole visited Jamaica to shoot a music video, and of course enjoy the Island. Little did some of us know that he was also a part of a short film done by BBGun Films and Swiss Luxury brand, Bally. Directed by Maxim Bohichik, we see scenes where Cole visited the Bob Marley Museum, hanging out at Strawberry Hill, and hiking in the Blue Mountains. Featuring some new Bally gear, we also hear J Cole’s “Note To Self” and “Love Yourz“. Pretty dope video, and even better that it was shot here.
