Since March 2025, we premiered a new weekly Playlist called, “What’s On 13th Street?“. Since then, we have featured over 900 new songs from Artists in and outside the Caribbean. Xkappe Cooks Up With “Bravery”

Manchester-based Dancehall Artist Xkappe has been picking up some steam over the past few weeks, and his catalogue has been doing numbers. Thanks to a few live performances and Media appearances, the Deejay looks to dominate the scene just like his fellow peers from the Parish. His work has been cut out for him, and he’s cooking up something. He recently released, “Bravery“.

Produced by Ducati Entertainment/Monster Rat Records/Sin Di Kid Entertainment and inspiration from the popular “Hush Little Baby” lullaby for the hook, Xkappe is on the hustle in “Bravery”. While he keeps the music going, he still speaks for those who get to the money through other means, because poverty is a crime. At the end of the day, it’s all about garnering that life-changing success. The Deejay takes it to Mandeville with his peeps in a music video directed by Ghost Studios/Jojoink Designs. Xkappe stays cooking, and his team stays grinding, we’re on the look out for what’s next.

Most residents go for public transportation in the form of taxis and buses for various reasons, and the atmosphere there is enough for many comedy and drama productions. From hilarious interactions, to hearing colourful language, the life of a public transport operator is one filled with hustle and determination. If you haven’t been driven by a Jamaican Taxi Man, Dancehall Artists Top Banks and XKappe give you an idea in, “Taxi Man“.

Released through Steel Chest Records/Bigz Milli Records/White Life Records, Top Banks and XKappe take over Jidenna’s “Classic Man” Instrumental to share the day to day runnings of a “Taxi Man”. The everyday hustle to get passengers is no easy feat, but when done right, it is rewarding to earn that honest bread. This isn’t without any funny moments and drama, and the Deejays deliver a track that takes our minds off of the daily stress. Banks and XKappe always make for a great collaboration, and “Taxi Man” is bound to be another favourite. The Mandeville-based Artists continue to expand their bases, with Banks looking to take his talents to Canada this month for a number of events. XKappe Is On A “Mission”

Manchester-based Dancehall Artist XKappe has been consistent with the music this year, and is catching the attention of many in the process. With his raw energy and witty wordplay, his request list continues to grow as well as his booking inquiries. When it comes to the music, he’s sick with it. He emphasizes it with the visual for the single, “Mission“.

Directed by Saii Media Group, XKappe finds himself in the straight jacket in the video for, “Mission”. Over Steel Chest’s “Mission Riddim“, the Deejay shares his passion for getting to the money, becoming one of the heavyweights, and dominating not only his lane, but any lane he finds himself in. The video finds him confined to a wheelchair while he Deejays for Steel Chest in a Mental Institution setup, with the intention of escaping when the time is right. As mentioned previously, XKappe is consistent with the music, and Steel Chest has been scoring bangers all year. Get more familiar with them today.

Check Out Highlights From The “Born To Shine Talent Search” In Mandeville

On the night of Friday January 24, the Parish of Manchester was the stage for Deejays and Singers to perform at the first staging of the “Born To Shine Talent Search“. Organized by Texroy Elliott and the Born To Shine Committee and held at the Mandeville Primary & Jnr High School, a lot of potential stars showed up to secure the ultimate prize, $1 Million in cash, and a Record Deal. Judges for the event consisted of Producers DJ Mac and Steel Chest, Selector/Media Personality/Producer ZJ Sparks, and Dancehall Icon Bounty Killa, and over 100 Artists participated at the event. In the end, three Artists emerged in Dawk9ine, TrapKween, and Spikey, and Spikey took home the winnings. Before the winner was picked however, Dancehall Artists Fresh King, XKappe, Kraff, and Bounty Killa performed for the people.

Mandeville-based Dancehall Artist XKappe has been steadily building his name over the past few months. The Deejay stayed busy releasing music, and performing in various parts of the Island. He aims to stay consistent, and he kicks things off with the new single, “Gangster Rock“.

Produced by Steel Chest for Outta Space Records, XKappe is not trying to be the newest member of the Ravers Clavers, but he keeps things moving in “Gangster Rock”. It’s all about the fast life, and Xkappe is ensuring things are in order here. He’s not doing the latest dance moves, but you can dance to his new track. The Deejay aims to take on bigger platforms this year, and he’s finalizing a number of releases with the likes of Steel Chest, and they’ll be out in short order. R.I.P. Mr. Wacky.
