NEW VIDEO: Carl Douglas’ “Kung Fu Fighting” Featured In @ScottsLawnCare Commercial

From being one of the greatest One-hit wonders ever, to being in some of your favourite movies and TV shows, Carl Douglas’ 1974 “Kung Fu Fighting” single has crossed many paths the world over. Recently, the Biddu produced Disco single was featured in a new commercial for Scotts Lawn Care Products. Throughout the video you can hear the intro to the Jamaican born Singer’s hit while promoting good lawn care that’s safe for Adults, Children, and Animals. You can read my Oldies Sunday post about the single here. A single that was made as a tribute to the Karate Flick culture, congrats to Carl Douglas for gaining more exposure for such a timeless tune. Recording Artist Jahmiel has been very consistent with the tunes in recent times. With hits under his belt, he’s working his way to becoming the MVP for 2016. Today, he premiered his visual for the “Where Were You / Great Man“. Directed by Mamaz Boiz Films, this visual comes in the form of a short film featuring Jahmiel, his friends, and of course a “Bad mind Producer“. From a scenario where he was rejected by said Producer to performing on Onstage to being interviewed, Jahmiel visually tells his story of his rise to stardom. A good concept here and this is only the sample of the greatness that’s to come from Jahmiel. Look out for his upcoming project with Quantanium Records. See It Deh TV is a new Jamaican Comedy series to hit Television and Online. Starring Tony “PaleFace” Hendriks, Carla Moore, Dr. Mikey Abrahams, Kathy Grant and Ricky Rowe, viewers will be treated to hilarious skits, commentary, and songs covering Social, Political, and Cultural topics. See It Deh TV premieres on April 3 at 9PM with the season ending on May 22 on TVJ (Television Jamaica). Great to see fellow Blogger Carla Moore back on TV, and “PaleFace” as I was a fan of his “PaleFace Point Of View” series on CVM TV years ago. Lia Caribe on the other hand states she has no time for anything but the paper in her visual for the ZionnoizFreeze Records produced track, “Dolla Billz“. Directed by Icey Jace with BakerSteez using his editing magic, Lia says love can’t pay her bills and she wants the money to get what she needs. Watch her wash them at the laundromat, stacking them with her money machine, and of course getting to the cheddar with her friends. A clean visual that focuses on the “Money on my mind” statement, Lia will have viewers chanting the chorus in no time. There are many people in the world who may not be familiar with Ding Dong a.k.a. “World Ding“, but they know his songs and dances. From “Badman Forward, Badman Pullup” to “Syvah” to “Gas“, Ding has been steadily rising in fame. Recently he stopped by the Hot 97 Studio to chat with DJ Young Chow. Here the Dancer/Recording Artist spoke on his upbringing, being introduced to the Dancehall scene by Tony Matterhorn, his popularity over the years including crafting some of your favourite dances, working on music, wanting more International acts to work with Jamaican talent, showing off dances and more. He also taught DJ Young Chow his new dance, named “Twist Yuh Foot Dem“. Good to see Ding Dong on platforms like this, let’s see how he’ll dominate this year.
