NEW MUSIC: @BenzlyHype – Star (@Scribz Dub)


Fotor0703105237In preparation of their upcoming Mixtape, Deejay/Actor Benzly Hype (Me N Mi Kru/Innocent Kru) and DJ Scribz released a new song for “Uptown, Downtown and Roun’ Town“. Titled “Star“, we hear Benzly giving us a history lesson on his start with Innocent Kru, how effective he can be when he steps to the microphone, his displeasure for some of the new songs out and artists who bought their way to stardom, showing respect to some of his peers, and letting everyone know that he and Scribz are stars. A very entertaining song here, If you’re familiar with Benzly Hype and the Innocent Kru, you’ll know they create songs for every taste. International Reggae Day: Dennis Brown: Live In Concert


dennisbrown1On International Reggae Day not only do we celebrate Reggae Music, but celebrate the lives of many who contributed to the genre. One artist who is celebrated today is the late Dennis Emmanuel Brown. Known as the “Crown Prince of Reggae“, Dennis Brown was a top tier Reggae artist who created beautiful songs that captured the hearts of many and influenced many upcoming artists. Having passed away on July 1, 1999, I use today to highlight one of his many concerts. Backed by Lloyd Parks and We The People Band, Dennis Brown had great stage presence and commanded the attention of patrons. Celebrate International Reggae Day with the Crown Prince of Reggae! DJDropping a new video is Reggae artist Deep Jahi. Titled “Harsh Reality” and directed by Short Filmz Jamaica and YGF Visuals, we hear Jahi speak on the various communities in Jamaica and the activities that happen there. From Flankers to Portmore to St. Mary, people do what they have to do to survive. Deep Jahi says Jamaica is not a playground, so proceed with caution. MVMagnum Vixens is a new reality series that is featured on CVM TV every Friday at 9:30 PM. Here 24 girls are competing to be selected in a final 12 to become a Magnum Tonic Wine Vixen for one year. Directed by JayWill (Who also did Vybz Kartel’s “Teacha’s Pet”), Magnum brings to the screen a dash of beauty, sex appeal and style that consumers are familiar with via their calenders and roadshows. NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @ProdiVOP876


PSAfter causing quite a stir lately where he removed the “Gospel Artist” title from his brand, Prodigal Son or “Prodi” took to Onstage to expound on his decisions and more. Here he spoke on the reaction from the public to his change, remembering when he wasn’t well received in the beginning of his career and not paying attention to backlash, getting more airplay and support from DJs and members of the Church, making more positive changes to his music, and future plans. Not a bad Interview here, he also performed new music. I respect Prodi’s move and I see nothing wrong here as he’s not adding lewd lyrics to the music. NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @LucasDiPasquale


LPKnown for his cover songs on his Youtube Channel, Lucas DiPasquale’s popularity grew even more when he covered a medley of songs from Jamaica’s own Popcaan. Tonight, he joins the Onstage set for an Interview. Here he spoke on discovering Dancehall music and loving it, being in Jamaica for the first time, his very popular video, growing up in Canada, looking to further his music career, and studying media in College. He also performed the medley of Popcaan songs and other covers live. It’s good when people from other nationalities embrace Reggae and Dancehall music.
