Even though Vybz Kartel has been out of the spotlight physically for a long time, he has proved to be one of the hardest working Dancehall artists. Tonight Creep of Chromatic Sound released an exclusive dubplate from Kartel that has never been played before. Titled “Lost Without Weed“, Kartel took over Robin Thicke’s “Lost Without You” and made an ode to Marijuana. Check out the song below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

On the latest episode of “Pree Dis“, rising artist Shae Mill was featured. Here she spoke about her background which included place of birth and where she received her education, setting herself apart from the rest of artists out there, being a “Jack of all trades“, her latest single “Sweet Love (Even If A Lie)“, and future projects and she names some of the producers she’ll be working with. Her latest video “A You Mi Love” was also featured. I’ve been following her career for a very long time and she has shown to be a great artist so do look out for her new work. Today’s new mixtape comes from Sly Rankin. Dropping his 4th effort titled “Dunce Upon A Time” with Solja Life Records and mixed by DJ Dean, we get 10 tracks from filled with hard hitting lyrics, a little Hip Hop history, and something for the ladies. With production from Alric & Boyd, Michael DaCosta, Stephen Bravo and more, this promises to be a good listen from “The Wickedest Jamaican Rapper In The World“. This mixtape also features him being interviewed on Hot 102 FM by Copper Ash and Sherilla. Check out the mixtape below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Dropping some conscious music today is the combination of Kabaka Pyramid and I-Wayne. Titled “Versatile” and produced by Rokwon Productions on the Rokwon Drop Riddim, we hear the artists speak on the evil that many do, promoting righteousness, fighting the corrupt, going against artists who promote the wrong things, Tessanne Chin and her getting recognition, and advising the youths to be versatile as to avoid falling into the traps of Babylon and Rome. A great effort here as I’ve been anticipating a collaboration between the two. It could a long shot but I’d love to hear a EP from the two or at least more tracks from them this year.
