Recording Artist Royal Blu promised the public that he’ll be more consistent with the content moving forward, and it looks like he’s staying true to his word. Following up his “Cool” single, he steps out with “Light My Way“.

Produced by G.Wav and The Autos under Easy Star Records and featuring Kabaka Pyramid, Royal Blu shares his journey on the winding road of life in “Light My Way”. He has his share of experiences, and he seeks the guidance of a higher power to illuminate his steps so that he doesn’t falter, and put him back on track when he does. Kabaka steps in with some social commentary, and relies on the light to keep him focused in his daily trods. A lot is going on in the world, and we all need that guidance to keep us on the right path. Accompanying the single is a Music Video directed by Cesar Buelto and G.Wav, and it finds Blu on a journey to his safe haven, with the light of his lantern shining as bright as ever. OLDIES SUNDAY: Chuck Fenda – Jah It’s All About You (1996)

The Month of June is recognized as “Caribbean American Heritage Month“, and on Oldies Sunday, we want to highlight a few Artists who are a part of this. Today’s selection comes from Reggae/Dancehall Artist Chuck Fenda with the single, “Jah It’s All About You“.

Produced by King Jammy’s on the “Money Money Riddim” and released through the Jammy’s label in 1996, Chuck Fenda uses his talents to give praise to Jah in “Jah It’s All About You”. Throughout the song, he shares the many things that Jah has done for him, the ways he pays back for those blessings, and shows his gratitude. Listeners are also encouraged to seek Jah because there is so much going on in the world, and the people need guidance. “Jah It’s All About You” gained some attention for Fenda following its release, and allowed him to perform the track at various events. The Music Video that accompanied the single was his first official visual, and was directed by Llewellyn “Big Daddy Leo” O’Reggio.

Since the release of “Jah It’s All About You”, Chuck Fenda went on to have a successful music career which included the release of a number of hit singles and albums. Thanks to his music and messages, he earned titles like “Poor People Defender” and “The Living Fire“. He also assisted in developing the career of Dancehall Artist Jada Kingdom. Born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Jamaica, Fenda embodied his Jamaican heritage, and contributed to the further growth of Reggae Music. He is recognized during “Caribbean American Heritage Month”, and Jah It’s All About You” is still played today.

Produced by Triangle Park and L3GION, Major Myjah deals with past lovers who still want a piece of him in, “Exes”. He finds himself wondering why he can’t get rid of them, but then he realizes there were a few reasons for that. With all of that going on, he’s trying not to let them get in the way of his love life currently. Renae & Jermi Remix A Classic For Their Debut Single, “Mi Caan’t”

In the game of love, there will be days where the couple goes through things. No matter the level of the relationship, there will be an argument or few, but if the love is real, then it will work out. Legendary Producer Clive Hunt has produced his share of love songs over the years from some pretty legendary Artists, but now he wants to create a few legends himself. Enter Renae & Jermi, the new protégés of Hunt, and they step out in a major way. They make their debut with the single, “Mi Caan’t“.

Produced by Clive Hunt for his Iconic Azul Entertainment label, “Mi Caan’t” is a song that finds Renae & Jermi playing girlfriend and boyfriend in a clash of words. The song borrows from the 1980 hit “My Woman” by Barrington Levy, and gives it a modern sound and added perspective. Relationships are hard, and in the song, despite both parties sharing their frustrations with each other, they can’t do without each other. This is more evident in the Music Video directed by Terminal 4 Media, and features appearances by Clive Hunt, and former Dancehall/Reggae Singer Sasha who both assist in mending the troubled couple’s union. Renae & Jermi have the potential to be big names in Jamaican Music, and we look forward to seeing what’s next for them as a duo, and as Individuals. Big up the legendary Clive Hunt.

Produced by 1 Villain Records/Wikid Media Music, Jquan walks away from love in “It Done”. The Deejay delivers melodies through the pain, speaks on being used, not being respected, and his frustration that makes him put it all behind him. Through the hurt, he seeks a life that’s stress free, and he’ll do what it takes to get there. He takes it to the Piano in the Shane Creative-directed clip, and we know the fans will resonate with this one. Jquan originally previewed “It Done” on Social Media a few days ago, and the demand for its official release quickly grew. Expect this one to make its rounds this Summer.
