Since March 2025, we premiered a new weekly Playlist called, “What’s On 13th Street?“. Since then, we have featured over 700 new songs from Artists in and outside the Caribbean. Recording Artist Kxng Izem is building his way up for a big moment in his music career. He recently celebrated the 5th anniversary for his well-celebrated EP, “Wildfire“, and he has been making appearances for live performances over the past few months. He is never not working on new music, and with a few releases so far, he continues to people in tune, and show that his Pen is still working. Earlier, he released the new single, “Clean Energy“.

Done in collaboration with Production collective The Autos and Paris La Mont, Kxng Izem makes it look easy on, “Clean Energy”. The song finds him encouraging listeners to live a life that’s free from corruption, free from problems, and maintain an energy that’s nothing but positive. In these times where people are easily lead astray, one must focus on securing their peace, look at the mistakes made by those before them, and not continue the cycle. Over some classic sounding Reggae production, this is what the Reggae lover needs to add to their collection. Can we say there’s a new project on the way? Let’s see. You see the pree? Keep it clean.

Live From His Hometown, @TheRoyalBlu Debuts His “Spain Root”

Royal Blu may seem like a simple Man with his calm demeanor, but underneath is an Artist who possesses powerful lyrics, and knows how to light that fire when he enters the booth. Formerly known as Blu Kid, the Spanish Town native has been perfecting his craft, and has built a movement that continues to witness his rise. He has performed with some of the best, and now he makes a big step in his career. He releases his debut album, “Spain Root“.

Featuring 14 tracks and released through Easy Star Records, “Spain Root” is Royal Blu’s dedication to his hometown. The project is some of Blu’s best work yet, and he covers a lot of ground here. Showcasing a display of great songwriting, a solid command of whatever production is thrown his way, and holding his own when collaborating with others. Production of “Spain Root” is handled by DelaGroove, J.L.L., RiddimBoss, ProdByRoss, The Autos, G.Wav, Paris Lamont, Mundo, Yo Christon, KaleX, and Cuco Fyah, while he shares the booth with Protoje, Runkus, D’Yani, Akina Eman, and Kabaka Pyramid. This album is for Jamaica, for the world, and Spanish Town of course.

Recording Artist Royal Blu promised the public that he’ll be more consistent with the content moving forward, and it looks like he’s staying true to his word. Following up his “Cool” single, he steps out with “Light My Way“.

Produced by G.Wav and The Autos under Easy Star Records and featuring Kabaka Pyramid, Royal Blu shares his journey on the winding road of life in “Light My Way”. He has his share of experiences, and he seeks the guidance of a higher power to illuminate his steps so that he doesn’t falter, and put him back on track when he does. Kabaka steps in with some social commentary, and relies on the light to keep him focused in his daily trods. A lot is going on in the world, and we all need that guidance to keep us on the right path. Accompanying the single is a Music Video directed by Cesar Buelto and G.Wav, and it finds Blu on a journey to his safe haven, with the light of his lantern shining as bright as ever. He later joins Kabaka as they step up to perform their collaboration. Never short of music with a message, let “Light My Way” be a part of your everyday life.
