Dancehall Artist Masicka is still doing numbers with his 2021 debut album, “438“. With fans still showing appreciation on Social Media, it’s no surprise that some of the tracks have gone on to become viral hits. One of the tracks that took off was the Stefflon Don assisted single, “Moments“. It has gained popularity on TikTok and Instagram Reels, and fans were eager for a music video for this one. Recently, Stefflon Don took a short trip to Jamaica, and today you will see the result of that trip. Here is the music video for “Moments”.

Directed by RD Studios, Masicka and Stefflon Don display some intimacy throughout the “Moments” clip. With Masicka following clues to meet Steff in a room, we get to see them get cozy, and of course perform the track together. Viewers will say they make a nice couple onscreen, while some may wish they were in Masicka or Stefflon’s place. Overall, this is nice visual to accompany a single that has gone viral in these past few months. What do you think of it?

Love it or hate it, Skillibeng’s “Whap Whap” is a hit. Previewed in 2021 via Instagram, it received plenty backlash from the public, with many doubting Skillibeng’s lyrical and songwriting abilities. Nonetheless, “Whap Whap” was officially released, and the public ran with it. Despite the negativity, Skillibeng enjoy local and International love, and the song was remixed by a few Artists including NBA YoungBoy, Digga D, and Ron Suno. Rappers French Montana and Fivio Foreign were the latest to jump on the track, and it has now been officially remixed by them. Today, we get the music video for “Whap Whap (Remix)“.

Directed by Shomi Patwary and shot in The Bronx, New York, Skilli, French, and Fivio all show up to perform the track. The remix single was released last week, and was receiving positive reviews due to French and Fivio’s contributions. “Whap Whap” has shown that Skillibeng’s US presence is getting better, and with a few events lined up for him this summer, expect a lot more people adding Skilli to their Playlists and budgets. Big up Media Personality The Kid Mero of The Bodega Boys Podcast and Desus & Mero on Showtime as he made a cameo appearance in the video. We hope he and Desus Nice return to the Podcast scene soon.

While we can’t provide a physical solution at the moment, how about a visual to put your mind at ease for a bit? Enter Recording Artist Ras-I with the music video for his much loved single, “Somewhere Wonderful“!

Directed by Create With ALT, Ras-I plays a Tour Guide as he gives viewers some great scenery and locations in Jamaica that will make you want to disappear to right now. While he delivers his hit single very well, the visuals will have you feeling like you’re in a Tourism Ad. The Jamaica Tourist Board is dropping the ball on using this song, so if there is any other Island who is interested in using this song for a campaign, make the connections and opportunities happen expeditiously. Ras-I has been putting out singles that quickly connect with the listeners, and you can expect him to thrill you even more this year with new content and live performances.

Reggae/Dancehall Artist Bugle continues to deliver solid, conscious, and positive messages in every release, and today we hope this one connects with you strongly. Today, we get to check out “Prayer & Fasting“.

Produced by EastKings Records and featuring Recording Artist Imeru Tafari, son of Reggae Artist Queen Ifrica, Bugle shares a few words of caution for his listeners. The road may be rocky, but life is everlasting. Bugle and Imeru give thanks for the Matriarchs who have prayed without ceasing for their safety, for guidance along their respective paths, and for blessings to shower them daily. There’s nothing like Mama’s love, and the love of God. Accompanying the new single, is a music video directed by Swag TV Filmz, and it features a few cameo appearances, and a great visual showcasing unity. Something that is needed in these times.

On May 27, the popular Netflix series “Stranger Things” premiered its 4th season. The series finds a group of kids experiencing various supernatural beings and events in 1980s Indiana. The new season was highly anticipated, and has been one of Netflix’s most watched products. While season 4 highlights plenty 80s aesthetic, the soundtrack also highlights some of the hits from that decade. One of the hits however, is a Reggae classic.

In episodes 4 and 6 of “Stranger Things” season 4, British boy band Musical Youth’s 1982 hit, “Pass The Dutchie” was featured. Produced by Peter Collins, this is a song about facing extreme poverty. This song was redone version of the Mighty Diamonds’ hit “Pass The Kutchie. More info on the track can be found here. The single has been been a historic one as it helped with Musical Youth being the first black group to have appeared in a Studio segment on MTV. We previously highlighted the track being featured in a South Park episode.

Hibikilla sought to elevate his game however, with the introduction of his line of NFT Music. Produced by Young Beats Instrumental and featuring R&B Singer Laya, Hibikilla delivers bilingual lyrics on “Risin’ To The Top”, with a vibe that you can’t ignore. Laya provides some smooth vocals, and with Young Beats’ production, this track is one you can dance to (and maybe teach yourself some Japanese as well). Jamaica’s Kxrly Miyagi was responsible for the single’s artwork, and the single’s animated Music Video was done by Japanese Illustrator, MURASAKI.
