At some point in our lives, we go through some form of heartbreak. Whether we lost a special someone, or missed an incredible opportunity, or took the last bite out of some of the best food you’ve ever had, we all have to handle it in our own way. Recently, Dancehall Artist Shenseea updated her Instagram page with a post that suggested she was having some “quality time” with a young lady. While Social Media did their usual expressing of outrage or support, resident Shenseea admirer/keeper of Shenseea’s comment section/Comedian/Youtuber Yaadman Etan took to video share his feelings of the situation. From finding out about her in 2016, Etan broke down his journey into loving the “Shen Yeng” to now discovering the new development. Will you share in his heartbreak, or laugh at his pain? While this track scorched many playlists, melted speakers, and became one of our favourites in 2017, Leno Banton and Royal Blu finally give us the visual for their track, “Meanwhile“! With JRDN MARS handling the visual, the duo take turns hitting you with the lines that you’ve enjoyed over that JLL production. It’s the mixture of fuego and light speed that you can’t get enough of since the song’s release. A bit of a trippy visual here with the addition of performance clips, and MARS did a really great job here as they fit the song perfectly. It is recommended that you have some herb for an enhanced viewing effect. Dem a talk, and dem a pree, but we just want you to catch the premiere viewing below. Protoje’s having a great 2019. From showing up in the cleanest fit at The Grammys, selling out numerous shows including his “A Matter Of Time Live” Concert (we have some footage below), to still dropping hit after hit. The journey continues as he makes his US Television debut on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon“! Making history like his fellow Artist Chronixx a couple years ago, he plants his Clarks on stage to perform “Like This” of his Grammy nominated album, “A Matter Of Time“!

With numerous bookings in the pipeline, Protoje will surely win more fans with this performance, and they’ll showing up on the road. Be sure to check out his live shows in a city near you. Filmmaker @Taqueth Shares The Story Of Jamaican Skater, “EDGE”!

The Skating culture continues to grow in Jamaica, but we need to set up some greater facilities to further nurture it. Recently, Filmmaker Tamara Smith a.k.a. “Taqueth” reached out to Skater James Lawrence a.k.a. “EDGE” to tell his story in a new Short Film! Hailing from Edgecombe Avenue in St. Ann, “EDGE” shares his journey from skating in the gully with visions of pursuing his dream, to getting his first pair of skates, and even a bumpy journey home on skates. While Taqueth captured scenes with EDGE doing tricks, we even hear him deejaying a bit in the end.

EDGE has been moving on up to being a Professional Skater “living life on the edge“, and has even performed at the Jamaican Independence Grand Gala, and represented as a qualifier at the World Skating Championships. He has been holding his own as a Recording Artist (formerly going by the stage name “Edgecombe”) as well having performed at New Wave and a few events at the University of the West Indies (UWI).

.@KxngIzem Gets Socially Conscious On “Pity”!

With all the craziness that affect our world on a daily basis, we really need to encourage more positive living and put out good energy out there. Recording Artist Kxng Izem (formerly Dmitri Izem) prays for good times with family and friends on “Pity“. With the single produced by Ten24 Music, Izem shares his observations of violence in his homeland, people studying evil, betrayal amongst friends and family, and folks portraying a clean character but are really terrible people on the inside. The video, which was directed by Vartex Studio and Lucid Production, finds friends getting together for a game of Dominoes, but ends on a tragic note where one was gunned down after a disagreement with another.

This is also Kxng Izem’s first outing since changing his name. When asked why the change, he explained that “Dmitri Izem” spoke towards a suppressed history in which we were once proud black African Kings that had our names replaced. The change to “Kxng Izem” pays tribute to the fallen ancestors and reclaim that black royal heritage.
