Elephant Man Commands Respect In “Yah Smaddy”

Your reputation is everything, especially in Jamaica. If you come around with false stories and trickery, you will be dealt with. Dancehall Artist Elephant Man comes from a place where if you’re not an honourable person, it’s not going to be an easy life for you. From the east to the west, he shares “Yah Smaddy” for the real ones.

Done in collaboration with Damage Musiq, Elephant Man shows respect to those who set the standard, and calls out the fakes in “Yah Smaddy”. Inspired by the “Yah Smaddy” slang from Montego Bay, St. James, Ele does a roll call for all the communities in and out of Jamaica where some of the realest set of people reside, and warns the fakes of what can happen if they’re not careful. Ele brings the energy in a Music Video directed by KingSimeonDiGreat, and he’s accompanied by Dancers who helped to channel the energy throughout. Freedom sweet, ain’t it? Vybz Kartel has been enjoying it like never before. Currently in the England, the Deejay has been on a comeback journey since July 31, 2024, and he’s just getting started. A welcome back Concert, new singles, reconnecting with many, and enjoying life and love, he is grateful. Speaking of reconnecting, he did just that recently with the legendary Busta Rhymes, and earlier they released the new collaboration called, “Crazy“.

Produced by Hitmaker and featuring the legendary Akon, Busta Rhymes and Vybz Kartel solidify their friendship even more, and gave us another collaboration in, “Crazy”. Busta gives us some of his signature bars while Akon shows why he is in the league of greats, and Vybz shares his new and positive outlook on life, with the declaration that “God is the greatest”. The last time Busta and Vybz collaborated was on “The Don & The Boss” from 2021, so them being in the same space together for this new track was nothing short of a blessing. Remember when Vybz remixed Akon’s hit single “Locked Up“? Good times. Here’s to more collaborations.

Dancehall Artist Valiant may have been trending recently thanks to his choice of footwear on Social Media, but he’ll always maintain a presence with the music. The past few months has seen him secure more hits and gain more attention Internationally, and he’s working for even more. Best believe his focus is on a “Whole Lotta” things.

Directed by Don Prod, Valiant is taking his career and life to new levels in “Whole Lotta”. Kyng Tavii is back at it again with new content to keep you entertained. If you have been following his career, you know that he has been assigned a number of roles over the years in his videos. This time around, he returns to the Station to “Serve & Protect“.

When Civilians are in need of high level security, crime-free neighbourhoods, and a reduction in corruption, don’t call Kyng Tavii to ensure the tasks are done in, “Serve & Protect”. In the video, a young Woman (played by Content Creator Garcia Brown) has unfortunately become the newest robbery victim, and while the criminal attempts to break into her home, she calls the Police for assistance. Tavii takes the call, and a wave of disappointment appears when the young Woman was denied help. The reason? You’d have to watch the video to find out why. Another banger from Kyng Tavii!

When times are hard, sometimes you just have to go the extra mile to get what you want, even if it means going through life-threatening means. Jamaican Filmmaker Roger B Stillz has been producing some quality pieces of content for a number of years, and has built a following off of them, and was given opportunities to collaborate for some prominent names. For his latest release called, “The Local“, he shares a story of how making certain decisions may not always be the right one.

Starring Rome Walker, Dray Walker, and Josiya Niaah with narration by Reuben Hussey more popularly known as “Ganja Clauze“, Roger B Stillz’s “The Local” shares a story of 3 Men who carried out a mission each with a certain goal to accomplish, but the decisions they each made connect to an end goal that may not be what they desired. The Film shares a story that is common to many as life in Jamaica and other parts of the world can push an individual to make drastic decisions, but not all ending is a good one. B Stillz paints the picture for many to digest, and start conversations in various settings. In a story of revenge, vengeance, or survival, every action comes with a good or bad reaction. The “African Giant” has been a topic of discussion over the past few months in regards to his love life among other things, but he’s doing what he does best, and that is deliver the music. Burna Boy has amassed success that is beyond measure for some, but he has worked his way up for it. With a new album on the way, he has been releasing a number of singles since last year. This time around, he’s giving us an “Update“.

Directed by UAX Studio, Burna Boy shares his continued rise, and his focus on receiving good energy daily in “Update”. The video features a mix of him enjoying a life of luxury, while other scenes promote strength (as shown in the “Tug of War” scene), unity, and gaining success. The video also pays homage to the “Soul Train” era of the 1970s. “Update” was produced by P2J, and is the second single off of Burna’s upcoming album, “No Sign Of Weakness“. The track also sampled Soul II Soul’s 1989 hit single, “Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)“. It’s Burna Boy’s season, and you can look forward to even more from him later this year.
