While we’ve been enjoying the ladies bring on their versions of “Hot Girl Summer“, Producer/Recording Artists King BNJMN and Sheen added to the sizzling rollout of music with their latest collab titled, “Deep End“. With the ladies in mind, the duo deliver a sound that is sure to keep the temperatures rising, and build on the fun everyone’s having. With slick lyrics throughout and a blend of Dancehall, Afrobeat, and Pop, we want to see the ladies wine up dem body to this right now!

The single is featured on King BNJMN’s upcoming TAPANARIS project, which sees an October release. Kingston based DZL Records is at work producing great music to be delivered to every listening ear worldwide. Having enjoyed success with releases from 2018 and the first half of 2019, the Dale Virgo owned label looks to get into higher gear with these new releases.

CH4SE

Starting off the round of releases is Singer/Songwriter Ch4se with his Dancehall/R&B single, “Closer“! The track finds him getting the attention and affection of his love interest as he wishes to get closet to her, and express his desire for her in every way.

D.A. JAY

Next on the agenda is Gospel Recording Artist/Songwriter D.A. Jay with “Start A Fire“! Featuring Dancehall Artist Agent Sasco, we get a song filled with motivation and a showcase of two Artists who aren’t afraid to speak their minds on a track and deliver that “Message music“.

GHANA

Closing off this round of releases is Recording Artist Ghana with her highly anticipated project, the “Gypsy Dread EP“! Featuring 6 tracks, Ghana tackles political and personal themes and showcases some versatility throughout.

Not to be left out of the new summer releases, Producer Just SNR and Leno Banton comes through with the new track, “Focus“. Mixing Lab and RoRo Jammings’ “Mini-Stereo” Beatbox album has been enjoying a favourable buzz since its release. With the genre-bending featured throughout, listeners have been thoroughly entertained by this rather unique project. Following up with the album is the official music video for the closing track, “CYCLOPEDIC“! Directed by KD Visuals, Mixing Lab finds himself in Scientist mode as he tests out his new album on a patient. It results in the patient being thrown into a world filled with various sounds and Dancers “Wire Waist” and “Prince Overload Skankaz” making their bodies move to them. From Reggae, to Dancehall, to Dubstep, “The Beatbox Machine” displays his unique abilities with ease, and the video is sure to encourage us all to dance!

“Make the music with your mouth…” – Biz Markie

While many of us utilized Desks and tabletops to provide the instrumentations for our Dancehall clashes and freestyle Rap sessions at School or on the corner, there are those who possessed the ability to make music with their mouths. Dervin Lee a.k.a. “Mixing Lab” is one of those with that unique ability. Having impressed many near and far with the skill of recreating some of your favourite beats, and creating new ones on the spot through Beatboxing, Mixing Lab decides to take it further with the release of his debut album, “Mini-Stereo“!

Done in collaboration with RoRo Jammings Productions, they dabble in Dancehall, Afrobeat, Reggae, Calypso, Hip Hop, Dubstep, and many other genres on a project that will have your attention from the Artist filled Intro, to the Dubstep/Calypso/Dancehall hybrid on track 10! The album even has something for the Gaming community thanks to a track titled, “Kayo“. Known as “The Beatbox Machine“, Mixing Lab has worked with Alozade, Beenie Man, Bounty Killa, and has showcased his talents at various events over the years. The “Mini-Stereo” album is considered the first of its kind in the Caribbean, and Mixing Lab joins the list of Artists who have studied the art of Beatboxing like Biz Markie, Doug E. Fresh, and Rahzel.
