As 2018 comes to a close, we look back at a few songs that were favourites on the Blog for the year. While we can’t name EVERY one, we’ll give you 10 (in no particular order so hold off on the ego) to reminisce on, or get familiar with.
This next track promotes “All Black Everything“, including the appearance of the Saviour. Recording Artists Leno Banton, Blvk H3ro, and The Grei Show teamed up to speak about “Black Jesus“. Produced by SNR Beats, they each shared their own interpretation of Jesus Christ as they seek to be closer to him, and learn his teachings. This one may have opened up a few conversations. The skin colour has been a topic of discussion among many for centuries but is Jesus Christ black, or white? Many sects of Christianity have pictured the Messiah as a black man complete with an afro, while others recognize a blue eyed, long flowing hair white individual. Today, the trio of Leno Banton, Blvk H3ro, and The Grei Show say “everything black” in their new track, “Black Jesus“. Produced by SNR Beats, the Artists speak on their interpretation of the physical appearance of GOD’s son, and their desire to follow and learn from him. Expect this one to make some noise, stay woke! The debates will continue, but the interpretations are up to you. Artwork by Paige Zxmbie! Check out the track below, and follow us on Instagram at @13thStreetPromo.
