Accurate! Today’s mixtape comes from the collaboration of Trinidad’s Lion Twin and Jamaica’s own Kabaka Pyramid. Titled the “Kabaka Mixtape“, this is a compilation of strictly Kabaka Pyramid singles and dub plates. Fans of the Bebble Rocker will add this to their collection and I like that this has a live feel to it. After hitting us with the energetic single weeks ago, We Chief provides a visual to “Gyals From Brooklyn“. Directed by Sebastian Jiminez and shot in Brooklyn, New York at the Grand Army Plaza, Bushwick, Bed-Stuy and DUMBO, we see some ladies performing dance routines, a backyard party, men riding on small pink tricycles, and a cameo from Choreographer Blacka Di Danca. A good effort here as they aim to bring the same energy felt from listening to the song into the video. That Jean Jacket with the We Chief logo on the back is really dope.
