It’s saturday afternoon and you might be enjoying the weather and chilling, why not add some new Vybz Kartel to it? Titled “Hi” and produced by Rvssian, we hear Kartel making use of the word “high” and “hi” from describing the feeling he gets from marijuana to food prices. Interesting effort from Kartel as some of the lines are funny with his use of wordplay. He may be locked up but his music is free. Be sure to download it on iTunes on September 10. Once again, those prison walls may hold him but can never hold his music. Today’s new music comes from the Gaza boss, Vybz Kartel. Titled “Punany A Mi Best Friend” and produced by So Unique Records, we hear Kartel proclaiming his love for the female anatomy and naming it his best friend. Featuring popular songs from Tommy Lee (Mechanic), Konshens (Gal A Bubble), Aidonia (Fi Di Jockey), Vybz Kartel (Freaky Gal Pt. 2), and Mavado (Come Round), this sounds like a real fun remix made special for the ladies out there. While the problem I had was the instrumental’s volume overriding some parts of the song, those are familiar with the songs shouldn’t have much of a problem. To kick things off today is a new music video from Vybz Kartel. Titled “Convertible“, we see Vybz Kartel’s stunt double entering a certain location only to see girls come out of nowhere to dance on him. Nothing much to say here apart it’s mainly girls dancing at various part including a Vybz Kartel mural. No features from members of the Portmore Empire, just a few sexy girls, a Benz and Vybz Kartel’s stunt double in a prison uniform. The song is hot however.
