Five Steez "Strait Darts" on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #HipHop #Music #13thStreetPromotions #FiveSteez #StraitDarts #ChosenOne #Riddim #ReEmergence #Rapper #JamaicanHipHop #Caribbean

.@FiveSteez Delivers “Strait Darts” On New Single

For over 2 decades, Jamaican Hip Hop Artist Five Steez has dedicated himself to being true to the music. Possessing that kind of dedication paid off for him over the years, but not in the typical way. His name has taken flight to different parts of the world, and he has been recognized by some of Hip Hop’s elite players, and various Producers have reached out wanting to contribute to his catalogue. He recently celebrated the 10 year anniversary of “HeatRockz” with Mordecai, and he’s now gearing up for a new project called, “Re:Emergence“. He stepped up with, “Strait Darts“.

Produced by Chosen One, “Strait Darts” is the second single of Five Steez and Chosen One’s upcoming “Re:Emergence” project. We get an exhibition of Steez’s signature flow, still showing off what it means to be authentic with the craft. While many Artists are just in it for the benefits, you can see when many of them “fall off” as their focus has wandered off. Steez manages to keep his relevancy on lock, and his determination to stay fresh lyrically is to be respected. Fans can look out for “Re:Emergence” as it will be released on September 29.

Top Banks Talks About The “West Gal” Dem On New Single

Dancehall Artist Top Banks continues to occupy more of the Jamaican music scene, as well as the Social Media scene. Over the past few months, he has been getting more bookings, seeing more growth in his fanbase, and stacking up the streaming numbers. With Producer/Manager Steel Chest guiding him, there’s even more to achieve. When it comes to the Women, the Deejay has a love for them, but there’s something special about those Women from the Western part of Jamaica. He speaks about them in, “West Gal“.

Produced by DJ Mac/Rockit Muzik, Top Banks gives it up for the ladies from the West in, “West Gal”. He doesn’t bite his tongue here, and from the raunchy lyrics to the aggressive energy, he knows that the Women stay close to his heart. Yes, the Women from the East have their own flair, but there’s something about the other ones. Fans of Top Banks outside of Jamaica can start to get their money ready and keep their promoters on speed dial as the month of October will find the Deejay making his debut in Canada on the 11th, and taking on Guyana for the first time on the 30th. Stay tuned for even more from the “Team Corruption” Boss.

Bring The Ladies “One By One” For Nigy Boy

The Summer has been good to Nigy Boy. While he has been working on new music, he has been taking the hits to the stage thanks to a number of live performances. Ready for the rest of the year, he’s confident that the hits will be multiplying. With “One By One“.

Produced by Tjtorry106 on the “Graduation Riddim” and released through 106 Records/Rocket Boyz, Nigy Boy continues on his mission to get the ladies “One By One”. The “Blind Casanova” is still slick with the lyrics, and no matter the cardinal point, no matter the attitude, and no matter the nationality, he’s in the business of taking that lady for his own. With a music video directed by Top Shootah, Nigy and a few lovely Women are caught in the interrogation room, and being grilled by a very disgruntled Officer. He recalls past events, and things get a lil fun when he and the ladies get together. Remember, he is a Gyal Magnet. Nigy Boy is back to making hits, and stealing your girl.

Jimmy James "Come To Me Softly" on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #UK #SoulMusic #RandB #Music #13thStreetPromotions #JimmyJamesandTheVagabonds #JimmyJames #ComeToMeSoftly #GayDisc #1966 #Riddim #Oldies #OldSchool #OldiesSunday #AnthonyKing #Caribbean

OLDIES SUNDAY: Jimmy James – Come To Me Softly (1966)

Today on “Oldies Sunday“, we’re bringing to you a lil soul. The Caribbean has produced a number of Soul Singers over the years, and their sounds have tapped into every part of the world. For today’s selection, we look back at Jimmy James’ (whose birthday is recognized today) “Come To Me Softly“.

Arranged by Anthony King and released through the Gaydisc label in 1966, Jimmy James (in some versions include his group The Vagabonds) sang about that good ol’ love in, “Come To Me Softly”. Paired with welcoming production, this song was the one to slow dance to with your lover. James’ approach pulled the heartstrings of many listeners, and it quickly became a hit. The popularity of an early release of the song was so huge, that it prompted James to leave his job with the Inland Revenue to pursue music full time. “Come To Me Softly” would appear on Jimmy James & The Vagabonds’ 1966 album, “The New Religion“.

Since the release of “Come To The Me Softly”, Jimmy James would go on to record more singles, and score more hits over the years. He took his talents to the UK and developed a following there, and shared the stage with the likes of Rod Stewart, The Who, Sonny & Cher, Ben E. King, and many others. Jimmy James passed away in 2024, and many still play his music including “Come To Me Softly”, which is his most successful release.

THANK YOU JIMMY JAMES FOR THIS TRACK!

JAE5 x JHus x Skillibeng "Take Nobody" on 13thStreetPromotions.com #Jamaica #UK #Ghana #TakeNobody #MusicVideo #Video #Youtube #Riddim #InkIndustries #RichardKattah #Aigorithm #Caribbean #Skillibeng #Dancehall #HipHop

.@Skillibeng Joins @Jae5_ & @JHus On “Take Nobody”

Creativity is key in one’s life. Without it, we are just blank canvases. In music, there are many Creatives who have created whole genres, and built strong movements. The same can be said for Art as well. When these two combine, we get UK’s JAE5 and JHus’ “Take Nobody“.

JAE5 takes the production reigns here with TSB and joins JHus and Skillibeng for an exhibition of music and Art in, “Take Nobody”. The mix of Afrofusion, Dancehall, and Hip Hop is heavy here, and JHus and Skilli have no problem showing off their flows here, and keeping the badness at a certain temperature. The creativity doesn’t end here as they teamed up with Richard Kattah, Ink Industries, and Aigorithm for an action-packed, and comic book styled Animation for the official clip. We see the Artists and Producer in a different light here, and fans of video games and comic books are going to keep this one in their favourites list. Expect new projects from the trio, and maybe we get another collaboration in the future, hopefully with a follow up Animation.
