Squash Gives Fans New “Hate Being Famous” EP

2025 has been a year so far for Dancehall Artist Squash. Despite remaining consistent with the music, his troubles with the Law were getting in the way. Earlier this year he was detained on a number of charges in Florida, and he’s currently fighting his situation. While his fans scream for his freedom, he finds an escape with the music through his new EP, “Hate Being Famous“.

Squash understands what can come with fame paired with the street life, and his new “Hate Being Famous” EP taps into some of what he has been through in this life. The 9 track EP features dark themes, painting a picture of what he’s dealing with. Production on “Hate Being Famous” is handled by 6ix Real Records, Hemton Music, and Salkey Records with features from Byron Messia and Malie Donn. Many are saying “Free Squash” till it’s backwards now, despite a new project out, the Deejay is fighting for a better life.

This year, International Dancehall/Reggae Artist Shaggy celebrates 25 years of “It Wasn’t Me“. Released in November 2000 and featuring Ricardo “RikRok” Ducent, this track paved the way for a mega expansion of the Shaggy brand, scoring platinum plaques, and placing him in significant parts of Pop Culture for years to come. While the track has gained love in a variety of ways over the years, it acquired a little viral love on TikTok recently thanks to a Producer named AceMitchh. His “HoodTrapRMX” of the song would pick up steam on the platform, kicking off a new challenge.

Released in April, AceMitchh’s “HoodTrapRMX” of Shaggy’s “It Wasn’t Me” found users on the platform sharing dance videos, GRWM (Get Ready With Me) videos, Sports clips, and random entries featuring the remixed track. The original video that premiered the remix garnered over a Million views, while there over 3,500 views released with the track being the soundtrack, scoring Millions of views. The original “It Wasn’t Me” has enjoyed viral success on Social Media, but this remix may get some extra love going into the Summer. TikTok users can start creating content with the sound starting here. Shaggy’s “It Wasn’t Me” is still available on all streaming platforms.

US-based Dancehall Artist Tina (f.k.a. Hood Celebrityy) continues to be consistent with the music, and usher in new sounds and concepts. She aims to not only score new hits, but make music that lasts. There are different sides to her creativity, but this time around she’s connecting with the people in a deeper way. Earlier, she shared the video for the new single, “Peace Of Mind“.

Featuring Ghanaian Dancehall Artist StoneBwoy, Tina is reaching out to the world with the new collaboration called, “Peace Of Mind”. Shot in Ghana, we see the Artists connecting with the people, performing together, and promoting unity that other people and countries should adopt and endorse. “Peace Of Mind” was produced by Kofi Black and released through KSR, taps into the unique sounds from both Artists, shares their need for elevation and progress in life despite all that’s going on the world, giving thanks for their blessings, and is expected to cover more ground in the coming weeks. When it comes to big vibes and tons of fun, the pool, the boat, and the beach are a few locations needed to get things started. Dancehall/Reggae Icon Shaggy knows about those parties very well, and with “Til A Mawnin (Remix)“, he’s bringing you all there.

Featuring International Icon and frequent collaborator Sting in a Jay Will-directed video, Shaggy turns things up on the Yacht, and at the beach in the visual for “Til A Mawnin (Remix)”. We get a new sound here that’s produced by Shane Hoosong, Big Dawg, and H.B. Monte, and it’s all about enjoying good company with your favourite drinks and music in tow. Shaggy has been very busy this year, and he shared some of what he has been up to recently with Jamaicans.com. It’s a celebration of love today, headlined by Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel. Over the course of his career, he has never been mute when it comes to sharing his love for the Women in his life. In the past few years, a new type of love came his way, and he has been singing a different tune. If you’re unaware of that, you’ll get the gist of it in the video for the single, “They’re Outta Love, We Aren’t“.

Directed by Rizzy for Now Or Never, Vybz Kartel makes a dedication to the love of his life, Sidem Ozturk in, “They’re Outta Love, We Aren’t”. The past few years found Kartel putting away the gyalis lifestyle for the “One Burner” life where he’s committed to one Woman, and his emphasizes it with his latest visual. The video highlights a number of cozy and intimate moments between the couple, and Kartel shares that the love for Sidem is like no other, and she’s better than whoever was there before her, and who will try to approach now. The public may have their opinions, but the love this couple has won’t stop any time soon. The “Addi & Sidem Show” kicks off a new season of love.

Khago Won’t Tolerate Further Disrespect On “2Times”

Many of us have experienced this, dealing with people who didn’t wish the best for us. They come in many forms, and the goal is to let you down in the worst way. Dancehall Artist Khago has had his share of those type of people, and he tries to avoid them further in the video for the single, “2Times“.

Directed by IView Solutions, Khago isn’t here for the disrespect in, “2Times”. The video finds him in a relationship with a beautiful Woman, who deceives him behind his back by entertaining another Man. The Deejay admits he still has love for her, but he’s not going down that road again. Produced by Long Chain Global/Junavill Records, “2Times” is just one of the few singles that Khago has been releasing in the past few months. The Deejay has been gaining a lot of attention on Social Media thanks to his commentary on Dancehall and trending topics, and recently his various live Studio sessions with former top Artists, and emerging acts. He hasn’t put aside his gifts, and may well deliver a few new hits for the rest of the year, and beyond.
