Today’s new video comes from Kabaka Pyramid. Titled “Liberal Opposer” and directed by Jason Lannaman for Arawak Studios, Kabaka drops conscious lyrics about fighting for what is right, tracing his lineage to Ethiopia, and living right in every way. This is one of Kabaka’s most popular singles so of course a video had to be shot for it. Off his “Lead The Way” EP, check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

Accurate! Today Kabaka Pyramid released the visual for a single that has been making its rounds. The DJ Frass produced “Never Gonna Be A Slave“, which was directed by Eric Christian King and shot in Kingston, Kabaka speaks on not being a slave to the system, never selling out on his beliefs, how people suffer in the system, discrimination, and promoting consciousness. Very good video here and I like the shots where Kabaka is on top of the building and when he’s interacting with people. “The fire burning immaculate“. Accurate! On tonight’s episode of Juss Buss Acoustic, Kabaka Pyramid performed on an unplugged set. Delivering some of his well known songs, Kabaka was also interviewed by the hosts Dru and Rach. Kabaka Pyramid has always been an artist I have respected as he displays great lyricism and commands your attention in his songs. Check out his set below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Today’s Mixtape comes from the tag team of Equiknoxx Music and Kabaka Pyramid. Titled “Dubplates In Dub“, Kabaka pays tribute to the Jamaican Sound System culture by recording 6 original tracks and freestyles over Channel One instrumentals. Following in the same steps as the “Equiknoxx Introduces Masicka To King Tubby” mixtape, this is sure to bring the new and old generations together. With Kabaka’s lyrical prowess, this is sure to be an “accurate” project. Check out the mixtape below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
Dropping some conscious music today is the combination of Kabaka Pyramid and I-Wayne. Titled “Versatile” and produced by Rokwon Productions on the Rokwon Drop Riddim, we hear the artists speak on the evil that many do, promoting righteousness, fighting the corrupt, going against artists who promote the wrong things, Tessanne Chin and her getting recognition, and advising the youths to be versatile as to avoid falling into the traps of Babylon and Rome. A great effort here as I’ve been anticipating a collaboration between the two. It could a long shot but I’d love to hear a EP from the two or at least more tracks from them this year. Check out the track below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
