It’s been a couple weeks since the Trini fire starters Jimmy October and Jay Nahge dropped their “Something To Believe In” EP, nonetheless they keep the buzz going with their latest video titled “You Don’t Know Me“. Shot in Trinidad by Dominic Koo, the two continue to prove that T&T is more than Soca music as they speak on fake associates, their rise to the top, and of course repping their “OverDose” brand. Teaming up with Zionnoiz Freeze Records, he releases “Your Turn“. The single blends Romone’s brand of Comedy with his newfound Dancehall powers and aims to get listeners dancing up a storm! Accompanied with the single is a Music Video shot in New York that showcases Romone along with top Choreographer Blacka Di Danca and fellow Dancers how they turn the energy up in Times Square. Romone joins the list of Entertainers who have gained massive thanks to the Social Media wave, and have now spread their wings to other ventures. What will Romone come up with next? As a part of Digicel’s “Bring The Beat” Campaign, the company has enlisted the likes of Usain Bolt, Machel Montano, Tessanne Chin and Producers Kickraux, Ricky Remedy, Anson Soverall for the single. With its mix of Island music and the mission to represent the Caribbean culture, sports, music and life, this comes ahead of the Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil in August with participation from many Caribbean Athletes. Jelani Paul of Untitled51 assists in animating the energetic lyrics and Production here. Time to “Buss di dance” and wave your flags this summer! We’ve featured this single a few months ago and heard greatness from what some may call a unique pairing but recently, Recording Artist Allan Kingdom took the trip to Jamaica, called up Chronixx and brought to us “Fables“. Directed by Martin C. Pariseau and starring Damanhi Mcghuie and Oprah Forknot, the Artists share their stories on breaking stereotypes, refuting things that they’ve heard about growing up to be fables, and standing out while connecting with nature. These lyrics blend in with the visual as we see a young man taking the trek to discover his own truth by leaving his home and finding a woman who lives by a river. After the single comes the video, I-Octane is not wasting any time this year! While he’s having a busy 2016, Octane wanted to ensure that he has contributed to the “Summer ’16” playlists. With “Up Fi Di Ride” gaining great buzz lately, he today unveiled the visual for it. Directed by Bling Blang, Octane parties away in this one with the help of some popular Dancers. The addition of some colourful graphics helps to keep eyes glued to the screen and further enhances the energy from the single. Ladies will ensure to catch on to the moves being displayed, or create their own. Don’t expect the “Hot Ras” to cool it any time soon as his “Perform” single, a collaboration with Soca Artist/Producer Jus D., will get the visual treatment very soon.
