Oldies Sunday: Twin Of Twins – The “Stir It Up” Collection (Vol. 1 – 10)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from a duo that’s hilarious, serious, dangerous, and they’re twins! Paul and Patrick Gaynor are the Twin of Twins, and we’re highlighting their “Stir It Up” series. From Volumes 1-10, you’ll get into some laughter as the twins and friends deliver some of the best content in years as they imitate some of your favourite personalities, but they also deliver some truth messages in between the comedy.

Starting from the 90s, the “Stir It Up” series has been a highly popular project having found its way into many collections officially and through bootlegs. Through the years, Twin of Twins have been regarded as geniuses in Comedy and Social Commentary, and legends in their own right. While their work is far from over, we get to look back at some of the great episodes, and bust out in laughter.

NEW VIDEO: @TwinOfTwinsTV x @JamaicaGleaner – On The Record

TTBringing their views to the Jamaica Gleaner youtube series are Patrick and Paul Gaynor otherwise known as Twin of Twins. Here they speak on the recent Anti-Gang laws that were proposed and how society and Dancehall music differ when it comes to political divide, crime and violence. The “Blame Game” has been played many times and the twins urge that should be anymore pointing of fingers, making Dancehall music the scapegoat and more unity and betterment of music and society. They also speak on how Dancehall practices the “Supply and Demand” rule when it comes to making music and also the “Jamaica has no gun factory” argument. NEW VIDEO: @TwinofTwinsTV – Up Wid Di Money


Today’s new video features a bit of comedy, star power, and a message from the Twin of Twins. Titled “Up Wid Di Money” and directed by Madvert Multimedia, Paul and Patrick Gaynor take on their roles from the “Stir It Up” series and go on a robbery rage. Robbing everyone from I Octane, Mr. Lexx to Macka Diamond, their aim to take care of themselves and leave a “fingerprint” in the streets. Ninja Man also makes a cameo appearance, and be sure to read the message at the end of the video. Great mini movie, the twins really did a great job here and they deserve an applause. It would be nice to see the “Stir It Up” series as a video series. Watch it all take place below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
