 A new wave of Roots Reggae and Reggae Fusion Artists has been popping up in Jamaica in recent years, making a change in the playing field and pleasing listeners. With the Reggae Revival introducing us to Artists like Protoje, Jesse Royal and Jah9, not only are we listening to some great music, but we have new platforms to enjoy them. One member of the new wave, Leno Banton, has been leaving a mark at every point in his journey as an Artist. 13th Street Promotions recently reached out to Leno to know more about his musical journey, the REM Collective, meeting Protoje, and how his legendary Father influenced his sound.

@LenoBanton Shares His Imprint Experience On “Da MEDz: Ep. 1”

In every young Artist’s life, there comes that time where they put in a lot of work on their rise to the top. Leno Banton is one of those Artists who stepped on the scene with a brand and a crew to match, and all he wants now is to be seen and heard worldwide. Recently, he was booked to perform at the Imprint event in Kingston, Jamaica. In the first episode of his “Da MEDz” Vlog series, he shares his thoughts and visuals before and after the event. We got a chance to see him prepare for his appearance, solo performance, and meeting with Recording Artist Protoje who he deems as an Influence in his career. @Protoje Takes “Can’t Feel No Way” On The Road In New Video!

Protoje is hitting the road! With his “Ancient Future North America Tour” in effect, he has brought along his “Royalty Free” project. Today, he fires off the visuals for what may be the biggest song off the project, “Can’t Feel No Way“. Directed by Yannick Reid, Diggy British kicks off the rhymes fresh off his Tour Bus and shows that no matter where he is, he will bring the power of Reggae with him. @Protoje Offers “Royalty Free” Free EP!

While fans of Protoje still can’t get over the widely popular “Ancient Future” album, the Artist believed it was time to give them something more. Recently he offered up two new releases in “Can’t Feel No Way” and “Glad You’re Home“, but now he ups the ante with “Royalty Free: Side B“. The 5 track EP gives listeners another music side to Protoje as he experiments with fresh sounds and tests out newer flows. With Taj Francis adding beautiful pieces for the EP’s Artwork, Producers like Winta James, The Drum Keys, Tracker John HD, and 8 Track add beautiful backdrops to Protoje, Runkus, and Lila Ike’s vocals. Here he performed his Chronixx assisted hit, “Who Knows” with his InDiggNation Band.
