Where are the Gamers? Recently, popular Racing Simulation series “Need For Speed” released their latest Video Game titled, “NFS Heat“! For those who are into Cars of all makes along with Nitro-burning speed, this one is sure to be a great addition to your collection. Along with the game comes a pretty heavy soundtrack that features Jamaica’s own DeeWUNN, Kabaka Pyramid, and Konshens on the tracks, “Back It Up, Drop It” (ft. Leo Justi), “Murder Music” (ft. Chase & Status), and “Reload” (ft. Eve) respectively. The soundtrack also features music from the likes of Latin Artists Zion Y Lennox, Toro Y Moi, and Alvaro Diaz, and Afrobeats Artist Burna Boy.

While these Artists are no strangers to being featured on various soundtracks over the years, they join the many who have had placements on the soundtracks for games like “Grand Theft Auto V” and the NBA 2K series. “NFS Heat” will be released on November 8, but check out the official Playlist below. Kicking off your Friday with some fire is Recording Artist Blvk H3ro! Continuing his run of releasing great music, he drops, “Cashew Tree“! Teaming up with Producer Drum Fingerz on this one, you can find Blvk H3ro floating over the beat with his signature sound, but switching it up now and then. The Two Fold Creative Studios directed Visualizer that accompanies the track finds Blvk busting out dance moves, and giving you a Neo-Dancehall vibe throughout that you can’t help joining in.

With a year that has seen him release his debut album, dishing out more singles, being a part of Fashion spreads, and performing from Kingston to New York, Blvk H3ro has come a long way, and has much more to go. Get A Preview Of What’s To Come At The Upcoming “Mobay’s Finest” Event!

Montego Bay will be lit up come Saturday October 26 as some talented folks will blaze it up with their performances at “Mobay’s Finest“! Founded by Recording Artist Karma Crew, the event showcases many promising Artists regardless of Genre. To kick things off, DJ Flakes has come on board to give everyone a preview of what’s to come with the “Mobay’s Finest Promo Mix“!

Featuring Karma Crew, Catalyst, Teja Christie, Ras Xtr3me, Tajex, Trooop, Shanika Soulchild, and Chavez Illmatiq, tune in to hear some of their current releases. I wish this mix was a little longer, but if you like what you’re hearing, come on down to Island Strains/Lounge 2727 off Jimmy Cliff Boulevard and enjoy yourselves. .@ManeenMusic Enters Storytelling Mode In The @JLLProd Produced, “Nanny Bag Part 2”!

Jamaicans have a thing for storytelling. If it didn’t start with something similar to “Me have a piece a mixup fi gi yuh deh…” or “Come mek me gi yuh joke…“, you won’t be thoroughly entertained. Today’s storytelling comes in the form of song, and the person delivering it is a “Tech Boss” who is also a Recording Artist by the name of Mannin Marsh a.k.a. Ma’neen! Making his official debut, he drops the track, “Nanny Bag Part 2“. Produced by J.L.L. (who has been on a roll this year), Ma’neen tells the story about a young Jamaican “Rude Boy” who tries to avoid arrest by leveraging his relationship with the Police Officer’s girlfriend. The story features meetings on the “Endz“, lots of weed smoke, Panama, awesome production, and a whole lot more! Artwork for the single was beautifully done by Richard Nattoo a.k.a. DJ Sinista.

“Nanny Bag Part 2” is the first release from the upcoming EP titled “Sexy Reggae“, which features Ma’neen showcasing even more abilities over more J.L.L. productions. We expect this EP to drop in early 2020. Grab a chair and kick off yuh shoes because Ma’neen a go pop story gi yuh!

Having delivered with tracks like “Formula” and “It’s Yours“, you either get that R&B, or some message music from him. Today, he brings forth a message with his new single, “Purpose“. Produced by the combination of Kvlar, J.L.L., and RiddimBoss, Kvlar protects his soul from evil forces, and will not sell it for anything. While there are many who are unaware of their roles in life, we hope “Purpose” gives them that much needed spark to finding their purpose. Do your best out there folks.

This Generation rules the Nation…with VERSION!

Where are the South Park fans? The series has recently kicked off their 23rd season, and last week celebrated their 300th episode! Continuing their “Tegridy Farms” story from last season, Wednesday’s episode tackled Marijuana and Plant-based meals in “Let Them Eat Goo“. During a later part in the episode, the character Randy Marsh and Towelie got themselves in some cow related problems after setting up shop for their own line of Plant-based “Impossible Burgers“. How did they handle that problem? By first getting high, and taking care of business to the tune of the 1982 Reggae classic, “Pass The Dutchie” by Musical Youth!

Produced by Peter Collins, this is a song about facing extreme poverty. This song was redone version of the Mighty Diamonds’ hit “Pass The Kutchie. More info on the track can be found here. The single has been been a historic one as it helped with Musical Youth being the first black group to have appeared in a Studio segment on MTV.
