The “World Boss”: 5 Vybz Kartel International Collabs You Forgot!

Posted on by swadedavillain

Yes, we know, Vybz Kartel is one of the greatest Dancehall Artists ever. We’ve seen the cult like following, we’ve heard all the tracks since his Incarceration, his ability to cater to every vibe and situation, and his influence on many. He is no stranger to collaborating with International acts though. While tracks like “Pon Di Floor” (Major Lazer), “Frontin’ (Remix)” (Pharrell & Jay-Z), “Twerk It (Remix)” (Busta Rhymes), “Girlfriend” (Busta Rhymes & Tory Lanez), “WTP Remix” (Eminem & Supa Dups) get spins, he also has collaborated with the likes of Lorde (on the way), Kalash, Wizkid, and Sean Kingston over the years. But today, here are 5 International collaborations that you didn’t know existed, or may have forgotten about!

(If you want to buy them, the links are in the titles. Bless up!)

1. Descarada (ft, Pitbull) (2006)

2. Everybody Gone Gangsta (E.G.G.) (ft. Kardinal Offishall) (2005)

Gully Bop Gets Sampled On New @JulsOnIt & @BurnaBoy Single, “Gwarn”!

Posted on by swadedavillain

When was the last time you heard a Gully Bop tune? He was on top of the Dancehall scene for a while, but somewhat faded out. With some saying he’s working on his comeback, today’s new entry may just be a start. Recently his “Wuk Affa Mi/Body Specialist” single was sampled by Ghanaian DJ/Producer Juls for the Nigerian Dancehall Artist Burna Boy assisted, “Gwarn“! A song for the ladies, Juls and Burna want them to know that they have the “good good loving” that they need! With Bop’s catchy lyrics that turned him into a viral sensation added, the single also gives the men a warning that if you don’t treat her right, another man will. With a really nice production that blends well with the lyrics, you can’t help but keep this one on repeat! Check out the track below, and don’t forget to share!
