Trap Dancehall Artist Ai Milly has been pushing his creativity to the limit this year. For every month, there’s at least a new single or visual content, and he’s not done. Some time ago, he announced that he will be releasing the project, “Pretty Girls Like Trap” a.k.a. “PGLT“. Since then, he released a single of the same name, and singles that would possibly be included on the project. After much time, the highly anticipated project is finally here.

Featuring 20 tracks, the wait is over for Ai Milly’s “Pretty Girls Like Trap”. Milly gives us his version of “Trap Soul” here, and the project finds him tapping into various aspects of his lifestyle. Fans of the Deejay will not be disappointed by the selections as he has something for everyone, and has tapped into various sounds, melodies, and familiar influences from Pop, Rock Music, and Pop Culture throughout. The project was released through DethWrld and Krush Flo Records, and features production from them along with Prod.Carterr, Conni Entertainment, Iconix Beatz, Jayy Sosa, Deemo, Hemton Music, Prod.Presi, and Ajani West. Today, we take a trip to Ghana, more specifically the Cape Coast, to check out Essilfie a.k.a. Ess Thee Legend, who recently released her latest project, the “You Will Know My Name” EP.

Featuring 6 tracks, Ess Thee Legend is making statements with her 3rd official EP, “You Will Know My Name”. The EP follows up her 2022 “Luv Lyf” EP, and she taps into some good sounds here. “YWKMN” features R&B, Afrobeats, AfroPop, and Trap Hip Hop production by the likes of Robin Rozay, Insvne Auggie, Fortune Dane, and Almighty Trei, while Ess shares the spotlight with Rozay, Iyke Parker, Rie Osei, Titi Owusu, and Darkua on a few tracks. Ess The Legend has been on the scene for a number of years, and she possesses great vocals and songwriting abilities, and her energy has resulted in a sizable fanbase, with the potential for her to be a global entity. Canada-based DJ Blkluos continues to take his Production to new levels, and aligning with various names in the process. He has maintained a significant presence over the years, and his catalogue continues to grow. Recently, he tapped in with American-Jamaican Hip Hop Artist DeemRaw for the new single, “How I’m Built“.

Featuring Trap-inspired Production by DJ Blkluos, DeemRaw takes the spotlight in letting the world know that he’s cut from a different cloth, and what he’s about will make him one to align with, or make a worthy adversary. Regardless, he keeps his circle small, and he is ready for what ever is about to happen next. The single is accompanied by a music video directed by BlvckFaceRD, and shot in the Dominican Republic where DeemRaw performs the track. DeemRaw has been on the scene for a number of years, and looks to expand his presence in more territories around the world. DJ Blkluos looks to do even more with him, and listeners can be on the lookout for that.

When it comes to the name Bakersteez, many quickly associate him with the Jamaican Trap Music scene, as he is one of the earlier Artists to emerge from it. Having released a number of tracks and projects over the years, he has gained a reasonable following, and has been recognized by some of your favourite local and International Artists. He is still on the grind, and he keeps the content going with the release of “Bezos“.

Released to celebrate his birthday, Bakersteez focuses on what’s important on “Bezos”. Never one to be lost in the crowd, he’s all about getting to the money, keeping the links strong with his friends and family, and doing whatever he wants. The video highlights a few of his friends, and some of his adventures. Will Bakersteez drop a follow up project to his 2021 “Active” EP? Stay tuned. In 2020, Rappers Niyne and Rxp Flo made noise with their respective projects, “Trapping From The North” and “Trap Island” respectively. Just a couple members of the growing Trap movement in Jamaica that has influenced Dancehall in recent years, only time will tell when we’ll see the movement grow beyond measure. While they have their respective fan bases, they start off the new year with a collaboration called, “Life Hack“.

Produced by Jae Martin, Niyne and Rxp Flo trade bars as they aim to get to all the bags, and if there is opposition, they’ll handle it in their own way. Not only are they bringing some energy to the scene, but they bring together their respective collectives, and possibly hinting at a soon to be released joint project. The Hip Hop scene has grown in all sort of ways in Jamaica, and you best believe it won’t die anytime soon. Get familiar with the wave!
