Being a member of the fast rising artists which include Protoje, Chronixx and Jah 9, Jesse Royal has been making a name for himself with his blend of music. Now added to the upcoming Reggae Sumfest, he had a quick chat with Winford Williams to speak on that and more. Here he spoke about his start and describing it as “From creeping to walking“, getting great support for his music, being groomed in the Church, being a part of the “Reggae Revolution” and contributing to bring more consciousness to the genre, being a devout Rastafarian, Reggae Sumfest and future projects which include his “Royally Speaking” mixtape with Major Lazer’s Walshy Fire. One thing to know about today’s new mixtape, it wasn’t directed by Martin Scorsese but rather by Selector Supa Don! Titled “Don Father Mixtape” and hosted by DJ Supa Hype, this is over an hour of remixes, Dancehall hits and Hip Hop bangers with a mix of old school as well.
