TifaOn this morning’s “Ebro In The AM” show on Hot 97, Dancehall artist Tifa was a featured guest. Here she spoke on her music, being dubbed “Queen of the Dancehall“, her influences, being a part of the “On The Reggae Tip” event, wanting to be one of the top Dancehall artists making it big internationally, maintaining a level of professionalism in her career, and proving many wrong. Tifa also handled her own on the microphone where she performed “Back It Up” and other songs. I liked this interview and Tifa handled herself well and represented Jamaica well. Tifa’s been on a good run as of late with the new record deal, Headphones and her singles so she has a right to wear the crown. NEW VIDEO: @ItsToian – Rude Boys

ToianAfter hitting the airwaves with the single, Toian now hits your screens with the music video for “Rude Boys“. Shot in Montego Bay, we see the lovely Toian hanging out with her rude boy and his crew, travelling with the crew on bikes, and observing the scene. Very cool visual, it looks like a scene from a movie. Gave me an idea of seeing this being a mini movie with some good acting and storyline. Mama warned her but her heart yearns for the rude boy. NEW VIDEO: @IAmCashBilz x @TrooSkiSGC – Bulls*** (Prod. by @SOULOnlineNet)

CashBDropping bars on the block is the duo of New York Rappers Cash Bilz and Troo. Titled “Bulls***“, this SOUL produced track was directed by Benny G and it shows Cash Bilz and the gang making stops on the block, hitting up the corner store and dropping lyrics where they’re urging the NY DJs to play their music, Hip Hop being a lifestyle, how dope they can be when they hit the booth, and getting at the new rappers who promote trash music. A good effort here and SOUL’s production along with the Big L sample complimented Cash and Troo’s lyrics and delivery. Shade Gang Crazy, put them on the radio Flex, Envy, Clue and even KaySlay. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.

NEW VIDEO: @OnstageTV Interviews @RealIOctane

IoctaneAfter closing “Dancehall Night” of Reggae Sumfest 2013, Reggae artist I Octane was requested to do the same task at the 2014 event. With news of this members of the music fraternity were not pleased and expressed how they felt about it. One of his detractors include Mr. Vegas. Tonight on Onstage I Octane had a quick chat with Winford Williams. Here he spoke about keeping current, his issue with Mr. Vegas, his thoughts on closing Reggae Sumfest, encouraging the older acts to give the youth a chance in the music business, what to expect with his Sumfest performance, his recent gigs overseas and the success from them, and wanting to inspire many. A good interview here, I Octane really handled himself well with last year’s Reggae Sumfest and despite Vegas’ remarks, he will do a good job at this year’s staging. Check out the video below and share your thoughts in the comments section.
