OLDIES SUNDAY: Terro 3000 – In My Life (2008)

Today’s Oldies Sunday selection comes from Recording Artist Terro 3000 (now known as “Road Elf”), and this one is a more serious selection. Going back to the year 2008, we tune in to “In My Life“! Produced and released by Ballaz Productions, the song finds Terro 3000 reflecting on the loss of a loved one, and how it has affected his life since. The very recognizable “I Want To Know What Love Is” single by English-American Band Foreigner was sampled on this track, and assisted Terro’s lyrics throughout.

“In My Life” became a hit for Terro 3000 as many could relate to losing a loved one, and the effects from such. He went on to release more music that became minor hits, and changed his stage name to Road Elf in the process. He has also been doing some Audio and Video Production over the years as well. If you’re still getting over the loss of a loved one, don’t be afraid to seek some comfort from close friends and family members. We all have to go through this at some point in life. Hang in there!

Recording Artist Leno Banton looks to close off his 2019 in “light-speed” style, but first he had to swing the sword a few times. Who are the recipients of the attack? The ones he refers to as “Pirates” in his latest single! Produced by iotosh and Runkus, Leno Banton calls out the “Leaders” and Politicians who claim they are for the country’s people, but are just leeching away all the Nation’s resources and leaving people to suffer. The song is just one of many that call out the people in power and warn them to do away with their corruptive actions, or there will be consequences.

The youth will continue to be the voice of change in Jamaica, and very soon the walls that the elders have built will be torn down to make way for a better country. We have all suffered for too long under the tutelage of Pirates, and they need to make their exits like those who have walked the plank. Leno Banton promises more music in 2020, with a possible release of the follow up to his “REM SZN” project!

Daley stands alongside Artists like Tommy Lee Sparta, Teejay, Squash, and his fellow HTG brethren who plant their flag in Montego Bay, and bring their own unique flair to music.

Teaming up with Producer Drum Fingerz on this one, you can find Blvk H3ro floating over the beat with his signature sound, but switching it up now and then. The Two Fold Creative Studios directed Visualizer that accompanies the track finds Blvk busting out dance moves, and giving you a Neo-Dancehall vibe throughout that you can’t help joining in.

With a year that has seen him release his debut album, dishing out more singles, being a part of Fashion spreads, and performing from Kingston to New York, Blvk H3ro has come a long way, and has much more to go. This Heroes Weekend saw many folks partying away, and taking that well needed escape from all the madness that happened during the week. In case you need a dose of energy, you can pick up some from the much anticipated video for Khxos’ creeper hit, “Tambrin“!

Directed by Jaakko Mannimen and shot in Los Angeles, Khxos has found himself among plenty beautiful women in this one. From the pool to the bedroom, Khxos sure gave them all a reason to say he’s sweet like “Tambrin” (Jamaican way of pronouncing “Tamarind”)! Newly signed to Delicious Vinyl Island, Khxos will find himself in more markets soon, making more moves.
