In preparation for the upcoming “Respect De Ship: EDM Meets Dancehall” event on August 9 at Susie’s Bakery in Kingston, Silent Addy teamed up with Deejay/DJ Chi Ching Ching to release #RespectDeShip Vol. 1. Featuring a blend of EDM, Dancehall, Trap, and “Twerkhall” remixes, both acts are giving the public a taste of what’s to come. Time for Summer School as today we get another lesson from “The Teacha“, Vybz Kartel. Titled “Do Di Maths (Wah Do You?)” and produced by Dunwell Productions, we hear Kartel drop lyrics about applying math when dealing with the ladies, acknowledging those who watch his every move, and cracking a few jokes along the way. Vybz Kartel really had a serious work ethic and tonight’s new post introduces a new single. Titled “Love In The Morning” and produced by Jiggy House Records on the “Mint Tea Riddim“, we hear the World Boss proposing to ladies to get it on with him in the early morning. He also suggests where they can do it, how he’ll pleasure her, what he won’t do, being able to handle a fat or slim woman, and the results of all that session. Just when you thought there’s a break on the singles, a new one emerges. This sounds like the older Vybz Kartel (a.k.a. “Black Kartel“) but hey it’s a new song and I’m here for it. Vybz Kartel, despite his current situation, showed us that he had a serious work ethic with the slew of new songs that are being released. With a single on DJ Sunshine’s “Wul Dem Riddim” comes “Nuh Play Roun Wid Fire“. Here the Gaza boss proclaims that he and his crew are nothing to be messed with and like the car Tyre, they run the streets.
